I have been getting over run with spam from all the emailing I do through trade portals and what not.

The problem is, apparently with the XP Version of Outlook (home version) you cannot block a sender...only label it jusnk mail so it is a different color in your inbox.

I searched online, but the only version that seems to totally block senders is Outlook 03, and I could not download their files.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Are you using Office XP Outlook or is this Outlook Express?

You could try creating a rule?
 
for outlook express try this:

Open Outlook Express[/font]

  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Click on Tools[/font]
  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Scroll down to Message Rules[/font]
  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Click on Blocked Senders List[/font]
  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Click Add [/font]
  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Fill in the menu asking for the blocked senders email address[/font]
  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Click Mail and/or News Messages, whichever applies [/font]
  • [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Click OK[/font]

You could also try this, but it may not work or some of the commands may have changed:

How to filter Spam to the Deleted Items folder in Outlook:

  1. Locate the email from the person that you want to filter out.
  2. Click on it once to highlight it.
  3. On the toolbar, click on the Organize button.
  4. The email address of the person who was selected in Step 1 will appear in the "Create a rule" portion of the window.
  5. In the "Create a rule to move new messages" drop-down menu, select from.
  6. Under "Create a rule," select Deleted Items from the lowest drop-down menu.
  7. Click on the Create button.
  8. Outlook may display a window asking if you would like to apply this rule to the current folder you are in. Click Yes.
  9. Click on the X in the upper right-hand corner to close the Organize window.
This rule will now apply to all email from this subject.
