College Football 2008 season

MSU brings in the two highest ranking running backs in michigan to play next season. It will be nice to see another two back attack at michigan state. Kinda reminds me of caulcrick and javon ringer

Hey BabyHulk,
My daughter - who is a senior at Florida - dates Ryan Ayers on ND basketball team. We live in suburban Philadelphia and they met in high school (Germantown Academy). Ryan got scholarship to ND, Samantha plays tennis at UF.
He's a great kid and I always root for Irish BBall.
 
That's cool man. I don't keep up with the BB like I do the football. I wish them the best of luck from a die hard Irish Fan!
 
Well, if Lane Kiffin came to the SEC to piss everyone off and act like a whiney jackass... mission accomplished. First, he accused Urban Meyer of committing a recruiting violation and of being a "cheater." Then he let one of his current staff members, Lance Thompson from Alabama, take credit for Saban's top recruiting class.:alcoholic: The SEC commissioner reprimanded him and called Kiffin's words "unethical."

This brat is pushing a lot of buttons and talking tons of smack for a guy who's never won a college game as a head coach. Fine with me though... I was actually getting bored hating on the Volunteers the past couple of years. I'm sure you Florida guys feel the same way!

Mark my words... when all is said and done, this guy's gonna be the biggest douche the SEC has ever seen.:*******:

I'm going to REALLY enjoy watching florida throttle tennessee yet again later this year. Ol' Lane will be surely receive a warm welcome to the swamp, haha. :laugh:

Seriously, man. I mean, I know they're paying the guy to rattle some cages... but he's just coming off like a classless twat. Maybe he spent too much time over here in Oakland! I don't think Pete Carroll had to pull this crap when he resurrected the USC program.

And who the hell is he?? An assistant from a suck Oakland team?

Plus when he was hired he said at his news conference that he looked forward to "singing Rocky Top in the Swamp"!!!

The Gator Forums are lit up like Christmas trees. Everybody has September 19th marked in red (when Tennesse comes to the Swamp).

JMH said on here a few weeks ago that a 2009 Pre-Season #1 Florida team that won 2 out of last 3 BCS Championships would have a hard time getting "up" for 2009. Guys like Kiffin are a GIFT to the Gators. You haven't heard Meyer say anything because he loves it. He puts it back in his players faces to fire them up. Remember last year Jean-Francois of LSU said he was going to hurt Tebow. Les Miles knew that was a mistake and kept the kid home. Fired up Gators wiped them out by 30 points anyway. Year before Richt let Georgia celebrate in the end-zone. Result? 30 point run-up last year by the Gators. You know Les and Richt are telling their guys to shut up this year. Kiffin is new and will have to learn the hard way.

I've heard ESPN say what Kiffin did is smart - rallies Tennessee. Maybe, but not in the SEC. That talk about singing "Rocky Top" in the Swamp will stick in the crawl of future Gators LONG AFTER the 2009 team annihilates them this year. It will be a perpetual rallying cry for Florida every year that Kiffin and Tennessee come to Gainesville. The Vols may not win in Gainesville for as long as Kiffin is coach (which may not be very long LOL). Thanks Lane!!

I'm around. Got a new job - am working a helluva lot more.
Had to spend more time this year moderating the Canes forum I'm on. We had more trolls (mostly our own :18:) than prior Signing Day periods.

I can tell you that i absolutely WILL be at the swamp in '09 when the vols roll into town. I wouldn't miss that game for anything! I hope meyer and the gators run the score up as ugly as they can....:D

I'm going to close this thread at this time, but i'd like to thank everyone that contributed during this fantastic 2008 college football season. it's one to remember.......for me anyway. :D
