Oh god they are multiplying!
I don't know who has more fair weather fans amongst the big time teams in the last 10 or so years. The band wagon Florida fans just rotate around the big 3 teams (and hell maybe USF). Now everyone is a Gator fan.
(Not meaning you, Traum. But you and I both know there are more Gator fans roaming around thumping their chests than when I lived in Florida and when I was in college in the late 90's and early '00's.)
I know we have a lot of fans that don't fully support Miami when we aren't on top (I.E. going to see games or buying stuff or contributing to the athletic dept.) but are still fans.
Our contributions really seem (stress seem) to ebb and flow more than SEC/Big10/Big12 teams when we are good vs. bad. Seems like the big tradition laden state schools have a much better money flow than Miami.
I see it in our forum traffic on the Miami forum I moderate. It's HUGE on game day's when we are good, but only big when we get blown out while the team is bad.
Overall though in my view, EVERY team has it's sizable share of bandwagon/retard/whatever fans. I know everyone thinks XYZ school is the worst in football, but really.
I agree J. I personally can't stand the sudden influx of USF god-like status lately. Granted, they played well in some important games, however the win over kansas wasn't that paramount by any means imo. In fact, they looked sloppy and lethargic in the first half of that game. I give it to them though, they played well in the second half. I just can't stand the USF people that compare themselves to UF......please! I personally would love to see a UF rout of USF. Hopefully oneday it comes to fruitation.
I work right across the street from raymond james stadium where they play, and i try not to hate, but my god the unjustified arrogance gets old. My wife has a degree from UF and USF (Both bachelor's). Nursing from UF, exercise physiology from USF (Because of the relocation to tampa.) She still wore her UF gear to class at USF, LOL!
GT i know you're a USF fan, so don't take this to heart. I'm just a gator, and always will be buddy. :hammer:![]()
All I know is that they are pretty impressive for a program that started under a shade tree in 1997.
Btw... I'm pretty godd#@n hurt that no one laughed at my previous Les Miles reference.

I think it's a program that seriously is over-rated though. I give credit for what they've done in the time period, but they are nowhere near anything elite in this state. I'd still put UM and Florida State to stomp them at this point. When grothe is pressured, he folds like a tin can. Kansas seriously, was a joke anyway. Their QB reese is good, but the rest of the team remains to be anything of note.
I did man, sorry though.........I'm so freakin' exhausted from working this week that some things slip by me. It shall not happen again.![]()
I know, and I forgive you your occasional delusions...
Seriously though,
Let's give credit to USF, whos playing with the big dogs with an 11 year old football program.
I do have to say that if they went against UF, they would lose.(your welcome Trauma)
They would likely beat my 'Noles, and UM at this point, as neither program is at a hight point these days. UM we get to see next year. Nole's, I hope they dont play ever, as I might have to have multiple personality disorder and root for both teams that day.
Apology accepted ((sniffle))
Oh, almost forgot to mention... I won't be showing my face around here after tomorrow if Bama chokes against the Razorbacks tomorrow. So just in case... it's been nice chatting with you guys!:FUfinger:
No delusions buddy, it's reality.
UF would trample them for sure. :hammer: UM and Florida State aren't at their peaks either, but i'm not convinced USF plays a schedule that really means anything at this point imo (No offense meant either by any means.)
UF plays one of the toughest schedules in CFB every year (As does any SEC team really), so until the schedules have any near comparison in difficulty, there is no real comparison imo.
I still love you GT!
I am a Bucs fan though outside my pats. :afro:
I admitted, as much as it pains me, that USF isinst at UF level.....yet. Give it a few years.
I still think they would take UM this year, and possibly the Noles.
The whole "strength of schedule" thing is overrated anyhows. Every team will play a few patsies, and a few tough teams, SEC included.
Now if you can smuggle me some renegade soap, I will wear orange and blue, and post pics while doing that damned gator chop thing you people do![]()
(all in love broham!)
Do I get extra credit for er........"sacking"....Erin Andrews?
This thread is infected with the Tebow-la virus... and I'm gettin' nauseous.
Lol!
It's prognosis is grim..........all in the way shall fall!!!
Come on though, erin andrews in the pick adds something for everyone!

Alabama is issuing a first-class beatdown to the Hogs right now. Glenn Coffee already has TD runs of 87 and 31 yards, the Tide has two long INT returns for TDs, and a goal line stand... and it's only a minute into the 2nd half.
any fsu fans on this thing? Trauma, i can't believe it. i always read your advice on different logs and then i stumble on to this and see this shvt!!! Tenn. looks like crap right now. UF though isn't looking too great. probably hard to get motivated when you're playing a team like Tenn that's struggling. we'll see where FSU is at tonight against Wake. I think we're going to crush them if the offense gets going quick.
UT's Crompton is making UF look like pro's. Two turnovers inside the five and a pick-six.
LakeMountD - but he doesn't post in the sports forum much.
We waitin' on y'all in 2 weeks. Opening up some whup ass on A&M. 41 to 10 Canes.
somebody pleeeeeeeeease give penn state some love.
psu. 45
temple 3
we'll see how fsu looks in 20 min.
i don't know what to say.........wake forest sucks so i don't know what that says for us. i mean, that fukkin game was a joke.
What bullsh*t i hear UF wasn't impressive, bite your freakin' tongues!!! We'll still be above LSU, AND bama when the polls are done. You can count on that.....

Hey, I think I made a fair assessment. C'mon, you have to admit that UF wasn't overly impressive on offense, and they didn't have to be. It's hard to play like an elite team when you're playing someone like Tennessee. It has to be a little disappointing to Gator players that the Vols couldn't really put up much of a fight. It's taking away from the rivalry.
Oh, and the only poll that counts is the one on Jan. 9th. And the team at the top of that poll will be wearing crimson. One of USC's colors is crimson, right?![]()
If I were in the SEC, I wouldn't count too many chickens before they hatch....
I expect quite a merry go round with the leaders at the top of both sides of the conference.
I know what you mean J, but UF has looked damn impressive on the defensive side of the ball. You're right though, we'll see.....
Sh*t happens. Remember your Auburn game last year???
Who'da thunk that one?
UF has all the tools that any other team in the SEC doesn't. That's a fact. In the end UF will ride out their ability to win on any side of the ball........can bama do that, don't think so bud.The arkansas win wasn't in the slightest impressive today either. At least UF nearly shutout UT.......
We'll see though, but UF holds the trump card with talent and until someone wants to prove otherwise the SEC is all UF.![]()
You have quarterbacks that look like they've never played QB before.
The myriad of penalties continue for the Noles. Rubber - this isn't a "freshman" thing for them. This is a habit years in the making.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Wake sucks - they are the most fundamental/well coached team in the ACC, IMO.
Our game on Oct. 4th will be close - it pretty much always is no matter how bad either team is.
Actually..... You're right. When and if UF runs the table, we'll have yet another convo. I'm willing to bet that UF is in the SEC championship game, and bama isn't. Call it "speculation", but i don't see bama winning the west, sorry. :yawn:Really??? No, I don't mean that sarcastically. Arkansas has to be as good as Tennessee. Bama's 2nd string was in by the middle of the 3rd quarter today. UA had 2 picks returned for TDs, a goal line stand, and a solid D-line. The Tide has a great, experienced kicker. Their return guy, Javier Arenas, is up there with James (though not quite as explosive), and he can run INTs back too. I KNOW Bama's O-line and running backs are better than Florida's!!! You can't even touch us there. The defense is even. I wouldn't say that UF's or Bama's is better.
So... Florida has Tebow and awesome receivers. That's the trump? I'll take a mediocre QB and the best stable of RBs and O-line in the SEC over that.
We'll see what Florida does against Arkansas and compare.
um......you lost!!!! :icon_lol:
Oh ok, don't cry about it. I had to deal with a few UT fans today that had their tails between their legs, lol!
trauma: definately not saying we shoud have won.......we looked like ****

fundamnetal/well coached team...........they could not capitalize on anything, i can't even believe you would write that. wake forest is not good and with all their chances, they should have killed FSU. anyone that watched that game knows we are lucky it was even that close.
