Why don't you pour that goop in a graduated cylinder, use little bits of alcohol to swish around in the bottle and get it cleaned out, pour this in the cylinder each time till you have like 50ml or so in the cylinder. Put this back in your container.
Pour another 12ml in the cylinder and swich it around to get everyhing in the cylinder into the liquid, and pour that back into the container too. This should let you accurately measure how much solution you have currently, get it back to your original concentration, and not waste any of your valuable research material!
I hope that is understandable, I see the procedure in my head but can't really describe it. I am pretty sure your goop will disolve.
If it takes additional alcohol to get the goop out don't worry, you can evaporate it off.
