Cholesterol restrictions to be lifted

Saw this on TNF. Good news

actually surprised by this

Yeassssss bacon and eggs hold the JELLY TOAST. It's the sugar that kills us. Been saying this for years. Can't wait to spread this like wild fire

All the low-fatters will still cling to saturated fat as being bad, which is equally as frustrating.

The problem is is that the data on Sat Fat goes in both directions

It will be interesting to see how labels look in 10 years.
They are going to have to break down fats into more detail for it to ever be a good gauge of "healthy or unhealthy" for example ARA would appear to most as bad if it is simply listed as an Omega-6 and then MCT's are listed as saturated fats and grouped in with "bad" ones

I use the quotes because i really don't think there will be a consensus on good and bad with fatty acids, at least no time soon.

I do think that this change to cholesterol listings is a good call

Not really IMO

It does, yes the studies conducted are generally poorly controlled or have poor methodology is test what they are claiming (often diets high in sat fats are from people with poor eating habits) but the data still exists and thus is taken into account.

I think that if Sat Fats were vindicated ATM there would be public outcry due to how ingrained the anti fat culture is

Pretty happy to hear about this, can't wait its about time
