i hate not working. i love being able to see my son a lot and going to workout whenever but i feel like $hit not working. its only been like 2 weeks but i want to work.

I'm not going to lie, you have to memorize a TON of **** and have a sh*tload of reading ahead of you. I will tell you it sucks ballz while you're in school, but once you get out there it's awesome. I basically work 3-12hours shifts a week and pretty much pick the days i want to work(self schedule rocks!) Plus you can make a sh*tload of money in overtime if you want to... Hell once you get in nursing for a few years you can make anywhere from 60,000-90,000 quite easily by working 1 extra 12 hour shift a week. Not to mention you make some nice contacts along the way.....

im sure there are really hard schools and the "kinda" hard but still good. any come to mind in the northeast? like PA or NJ?

Nope, haven't even heard of (them?) but it sounds pretty damned interesting! I'm gonna keep my ears open for concerts at the Pittsburg Post Gazzette Pavillion. Its only an hour drive from here.

A month ago Blue Oyster Cult played for free at Mountain Fest. Its a big motorcycle ralley in Morgantown WV (Home of WVU) Only 20 miles away from me. Didn't hear about it until the day AFTER they played. :whiner:

The school is rough, from what I hear, because it can get intense in time and volume and not because the content is so difficult to learn. But, my dumbass aunt finished top of her class so I think its more of those "you get out what you put in" type of things and isn't schooling reserved for those people in the top 1 percentile, if you get what I mean.

I'd say someone with slightly higher than average intelligence could get any given "degree", MD, Ph.D of (fill in here), J.D., R.N., etc. with enough work. Just put as much effort into your schooling as you do your BBing and I'm positive you'll do just fine.

Only classes I ever took that some people just "didn't get" were Physics (somewhat) and Organic Chemistry, but those people still usually god their C's if the teacher knew they were working their asses off. And, you don't have to take either. Plus, if your lady ever gets smart and dumps your ass you'll have access to enormous numbers of distraught women! :lol:

See the thing with medical/nursing school is they don't teach you how to be doctors/nurses, they give you the information you need to know to perform your job adequately. You don't learn how to be a doctor/nurse until you get into the field and deal with real life issues/situations....not scenarios. So i guess in reality any schmuck can graduate med/nursing school, but that certainly doesn't indicate they will perform their job at the adequate/professional level.

Yes the volume of material your responsible for is rough with strict time restraints, but i wouldn't say the material is easy for some people by any means. Some people will get it, and some people won't... it's that simple. I can say i've worked over the years with plenty of complete morons that i wouldn't trust my dog with......It's one thing to be smart in theory, but when you can't apply that to your clinical practice that's a whole different can of worms. It's one of those things you won't know until you try.....

Chad, with how big and strong you are, you would be in VERY LARGE demand in the nursing field.


MUO (nursing school closest to me) accepts men into their nursing program with like a 2.1, where it cuts out women below a 3.0. Nothing against the women, but I'm sorry, a 130lbs woman doesn't have the greatest success rate in moving a 300lb unconcious person.

i cant stand the healthcare system. my 85 year old aunt who has LUPUS (a big effing deal) is currently getting $1000 a month to live on and medicaid part D is raping everyone with this pathetic "donut hole" payment plan that runs out very quickly (whups they dont mention that when you sign up) and then youre stuck shelling out over $3000 out of pocket before they start paying for medications again.

thanks for taking care of my 85 year old aunt american healthcare. id like to find the person who invented medicaid part D and viciously rape every orifice on his/her body. if anyone here has an elderly relative thinking about medicaid part D, DO NOT LET THEM JOIN IT. it is a ponsy scheme the government invented so they can shove patients off a government plan onto private carriers who just drop coverage like chad drops his pants for NY.

WTF kind of nursing schools you got? lol. Around here you need probably at least a 3.3 to 3.5 to be considered.
