I also think it should be all about numbers as they relate to body weight. Not how much you can progress. Say I bench 200lbs max, well I have been on a layoff and not workin out for like 2 months, and I could previously get 275x8, that person will progress an insane amt.

yeah and i just deadlifted last week too. im going to take a week off and see what my max is then. i`m going to shoot for 525. i hope my nuts dont pop. lol

Try switching to rack pulls once you max, and toss in some good mornings and more core work, that should get your deadlift up there, that's how i got mine up over 500lbs, it was stuck at 465lbs before that.

Unless your gyms DB's are the rubber type,there are magnetic 5lb's plates,I'm sure some 10's exist...they'll hold to the metal ones if theres a fair amount of steel in them

No i'm saying once you find out your max deadlift, stop pulling from the floor entirely for like 4-6 weeks and go real heavy on rack pulls, you'll be using roughly 100lbs more than u can pull from the floor, then after the 4-6 weeks go back to pulling from the floor. You should be able to get a nice 30lbs+ jump in weight from that, also pound those goodmornings those are really underrated and do core work. I go for strength AND size so i borrow alot of techniques from powerlifting, olympic lifting and bodybuilding, you get the best of all 3 worlds.
