celadrin and anabolism

From what I understand, inflamation and anabolism go hand in hand.

From what I have read celadrin is special because it is active specifically at the joints as opposed to systemically like NSAIDS.

With this being said, does daily use of celadrin around 4 grams perhaps, have a negative effect on size/ strength gains? or do gains in muscle remain uneffected since it is only active at the joints

and if it is active at the joints, which may not be the case since I cant remember where I read that, would celadrin impede the strenghening of connective tissue associated with lifting weights?

Im contemplating using it, so Im curious. Thanks guys.

The needed dose is much less than 4 grams...it is about 1.5.

It works to restore lubrication to the joints as well as strengthens connective tissues.

you can check out celadrin.com for more in depth info.

I think it would actually be advantageous for growth since hyaluaronic acid is a constituent of many tissues, not just joints.

It is definitely not anabolic per se, but I don't think it would shut down all inflammation/prostaglandin pathways like NSAIDS do.

If there is a negative effect, it is far outweighed by allowing the use of heavier weights comfortably. I found that the weights I was using for particular exercises was being limited by my joint pain. I used about 1.5g of Celadrin a day and was able to comfortably raise the weights I was using in a few big compound movements (mainly bench & squat). I'm sure this wasn't due to any anabolic effect, it was just simply the fact that I was apparently limiting the weight I used in these movements because of the pain. Less pain and I was able to lift more weight and push past many previous personal bests. This is just my personal experience, ymmv.

Hey BM, I'm looking into this for my dad and haven't really had time to do in depth research. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is the connection to HA? Is it an ingredient? I've heard good thoings about HA, but also alot of hype. But I also saw where you felt better results from celadrin than cissus. He's 67 and having shoulder problems,
we're trying to rebuild his house after Katrina. And he's just miserable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
All the best,
CL

Celadrin is HA with an ester attached to it so it absorbs better. I think your dad would REALLy benefit from using both celadrin and cissus...especially since he probably can't take any decent breaks from all the exertion.

By the Celdrin bulk from Custom and use big 2 gram doses for a while just to get things rolling. Most people do well on about 3-5 grams of Cissus per day. Both should be used for at least a few months straight to get the most out of the tissue repair effects. I'd imagine older folks may want to stay on both long term..beats relying on pain killers.

Regular HA does not absorb as well so I think it gives mixed results to a lot of people.
