Cardio After Weights...

I like doin cardio after my workout to cool down or burn more calories if i still have a ton of energy. If i still want to feel the pump later I like to pop a couple NaNO X9 later in the day

I am a little confused with all the replies to this topic.
I usually do cardio after lifting for about 45 mins(sprint, jogging) is this too much. Also does it matter how many miles you run? I always have a goal of atleast 4miles, would it be to much if on my off days from lifting I jog for 50mins?

I usually get about 2.5 miles in when doing avg 3.2 @ 15 incline. I think 4 miles might be pushing it if you are going for fat loss, you may also lose muscle. When walking/jogging outside I keep my pace nice and easy with minor increases in speed spread throughout.

Sure I can run forever at a decent pace, I ran for distance and I play competitive soccer. But I do not want to lose muscle so no HIIT after a workout for me.

Try same incline 5.0mph... I feel like my heart is going to explode! Thats a MANS SPEED.

how long you keep that pace? doesnt sound like fun for muscle retention

currently bulking while trying to keep fat gain at a minimum..will doing 15-20 minutes of cardio after lifting hinder any of my muslce gains?

-thanks

I started @ 2.5 to 3.5 (1 minute intervals) Always a 15.0 incline. Then increased speed as it became easier at those speeds. The best part is according to the machine its over 500cals in 30 minutes, even though it may be inaccurate, its a badass feeling of accomplishment + I think it does good on calves, The last I go for the max speed i can tolerate non-stop brutal 2-3 minutes. Its hell.

I usually do around 30-45 min of rough cardio after each workout..hey you get a pump in your calves haha

I lift 3-4 times a week and just do 15 mins of hiit on my off days. its working great so far. my diet is pretty clean except for sundays it gets a little "dirty" ;-)
