Carb/Fat blockers question.

Hey guys!
I was wondering if any of you could share some knowledge on supplements designed for carb and fat blocking:

- Do they really work?

- If so, which specific product would you suggest, and why?

- Any relevant side effects to be aware of?

I have another couple of questions regarding these products, but I could really use some advise with these right now..!

Thanks in advance :]

I would research Anabolic Pump and P-slin from USP Labs as far as carbohydrate portioning goes (they help regulate the carb uptake into muscles and helps deter them from being stored as fat even at high quantities.)

I'm not familiar with too many fat blockers on the market that are really high quality.

Some of the fat blockers work but as said above they have some drawbacks. (diarrhea, blocked nutrients) To start with a good diet really negates any need for such things anyways. A lot of people are afraid of fat but fat is really a good diet aid if you’re eating right. Not to mention being healthy. The best diet in the world is the old tried and true BBers, 40, 30, 30 calories. If you’re looking to loose weight faster Atkins like plans are also good. These require a lot of fat, good fats that is.

Carb blockers really are a poor choice health wise as they block the complex carbs (the ones you want) and allow the simpler ones to be absorbed. This is taking one step forward and two steps back IMO. The ones that I know work are prescriptions that are usually written for diabetics in an attempt to control hyperglycemia. They have a lot of so called sugar blockers but there is little to no evidence that they work, or work at the dosages that we could reasonable take them.

There are some products (I am not familiar with the ones stated above) that will help in the usage of the carbs you eat, most notably ALA. However none of the products, prescriptions or otherwise will replace a good diet.

Haha. I know. There is a little info on my about me that might answer that question. My diet is very clean, and mostly healthy. RIght now, it's all about surpassing this fear of eating too many calories I have, and I just figured that a carb/fat blocker would aid me into upping my cals per day, by making me feel not as bad while doing so.

As mentioned, there is some info on my profile that might explain things, but I don't want to waste space on this forum whining about something I brought upon myself.

Thanks for the feedback! :]

yea man its all good, but hears the thing if your eating CLEAN foods in high volumes you wont have to worry about getting fat..

Keep in mind that fat intake can not directly translate to fat in body. it has to be broken down, then recreated. In generl due to insulin effects excess carbs are more easily stored as fat than excess fats. So if you want to be cautious on either, be cautious on the carbs. The blockers are nearly useless, and would be a bad idea if they work.

Anabolic pump or pslin or one of the ALAs (theres a whole family, NR-ALA, K-ALA, etc), vanadyl sulfate, corsiolic acid and banaba extract all can help with making sure that eaten carbs get taken to muscle tissue rather than fat tissue.
