It makes me sluggish . Which is why I Have a similar blend from up above and working my way to 100-% of what I listed .

it actually is pretty good if it doesn't bother your stomach. I've done it with grass fed whole milk.

The whole idea behind intra is something that is absorbed and utilized rapidly. Sipping a jug of milk during your workout is not going to be anywhere close to ideal. Whole milk to boot? For the benefits of intra workout fats? Seriously?

I could get away with bites of cheeseburger in-between sets if I choose to but that too would be silly.

I do that when I consume digestive enzymes . Makes me more hungry lol .

I take a a scoop and a half of Nutrabio supercarb with a scoop of nutrabio intrablast. I would use leg day daily if i thought ribose was worth it. Not sure on that one. I am 45 and coming off a 2.5 year layoff. Never took much time off the 20 years prior and feel the best i have since my 20's due to all the heeling. I am sure that will go away soon lol. I never took anything like this before but being i am low carb right now eating in an 8 hour window it seems to be helping. Who the hell knows but supplementation is something i am trying to be more planned and consistent with in my old age.

Has anyone used PeptoPro in their intra?

It's been years but it was one of the hardest things to flavor ever and I REALLY question the effectiveness of 2.5g's worth. I would personally had preferred they left out the pepto and whey and simply added 5g more EAA. Surprised they decided to pixie dust those two. Also if that is the ELEMENTAL amount of magnesium and not the total weight of the Aquamin Mg then we may have a rival for the OG Super Dump(Pump 250)

I thought that did look light. So I was thinking of getting it as a single ingredient.

Yeah i mentioned earlier in the thread that ive been using PeptoPro in my Intra for years now - Invalid Link Removed

We also had some talk about it over in @sns8778 thread - Invalid Link Removed

Cool I missed that. I'll have to try it thx.

Peptopro and hydro are the same pretty much.

Peptopro is hydrolyzed(to a high percentage) casein and whey hydro can be as little as 2% so IMO they are not basically the same.

Even if they were......... 5g is useless IMO. I am of the mind that you either put enough in to matter or don't. Putting paltry amounts so people who don't know any better see it on the label is one of the things companies do that causes me to loose respect for them.

Yep. Back when prop blends were popular, I’m sure expensive ingredients like this were used as “label dressing”.

Yes BUT we have NO IDEA what % of the hydro whey they are using as stated they can be as low as 2%. Also I will take 10g of EAA any day over 10g of unknown hydro whey. Also the above is not using just EAA's they are likely using a blend of all AA's in free form.

NONE OF IT MATTERS if you are NOT getting enough of the peptides. What is 70-80% more of jack ****????

Anyone try GenePro? Looks like it doesn't have the flavor issues that PeptoPro does and also has more protein per serving (30g).

interested in hearing about genepro as well .. 7.5G scoop providing 30G protein

"The sciene"

For intra workout, I’d still take free form amino acids (EAA’s specifically with at least 3g leucine) over this. Looks like they’re trying to market this as a protein powder alternative.

Here’s some more info with citations on iOwhey (GenePro). Personally I’ll stick to just regular protein powder + food for my protein source.

I agree with you. I had thought maybe I could use this instead of PeptoPro and save $. I currently use a scoop of EAA and 25-50g karboload depending on the workout.

Have you ever used hydrolyzed whey vs PeptoPro? The Ultra is 24.99lb vs 39.99 for PeptoPro.

Great catch. I did not see that...scratch that off the list for now...

yeah i think isatori introduced bio grow back in the day same concept .. and even man sports .. dont think it ever caught up lol

ALRI HumaPro, i got sucked in by that one myself. Used a bunch of it lol. iSatori Bio Grow also, frigging Colostrum extract. I remember posting about it on my IG and people said "i thought you were natural?" Apparently colostrum takes away your natty card.

You have to ask yourself most important question first .. Are you human ?

Well I am going to buck here: I like Humapro. I use about 20 tablets a day. I lost ZERO muscle and saw a significant improvement in kidney markers. An similar formula is made for medical use in kidney failure patients. Did they over market it? Yes. For me did it work as advertised? Yup.

Now in a perfectly healthy person does it offer advantages over regular protein? Nope. Will it work better than whey? Nope. Does it do what it claims to do in a very specific setting, such as mine? Yup.

People are so funny IMO/IME. Look at the claims that have been made for regular old whey protein over the years. Outlandish non-sense for almost three decades but no one looks at the BS marketing and dismisses whey outright based on such. Not sure why whey, creatine, and other products get a pass and then others do not.

Boiled down humapro is EAA's in tablet form with some b-vits and a halfway decent GDA blend of bitter melon and green coffee bean extract. Nothing revolutionary about it but NOTHING wrong with it either. I have looked and the only other companies making EAA's in pill form are companies like Solgar, Anabol Naturals, and Thorne. So when it comes to EAA's in PILL FORM they are actually the best value currently being made. I have crunched all the numbers on this and the ONLY thing I could find cheaper was capping my own and if you have ever worked with EAA powder by itself it's a pain in the ass to put it mildly. Yes I could use EAA powders but it would be one more colored/flavored/sweetened product in the mix daily and I prefer the tablets.

I'd imagine Leucine is absolutely awful to try and cap lol

It sure is. I used to sell a capped leucine under my old brand and it was a pain to work with and so fluffy you did not get much in a standard 00 capsule. There is a reason PES(or whatever their offshoot line was, analzyed supps I think??) made the 1000mg/tabs.

Two, I remember analyzed coming out with those. Must’ve not done too well. Many of those herbs didn’t make it over to the PES line - granted PES kinda changed their customer strategy along the way

In order for l-leucine tabs to really make a difference you need to take 3-5 grams at multiple meals a day and even then it is going to be a slow long-term approach in order to make a difference. 99% of humans are not going to take 12 1000mg tabs a day for months chasing a few lbs of muscle so very limited market appeal amongst the "normals."lol

What’s in it again . Bovine plasma ?

"To create the world's most bio-available protein, GENEPRO goes through a 3-stage refinement process. First, our grass-fed whey is micro-filtered to remove all impurities such as lactose and cholesterol. Next, through our partnership with Plasma Nutrition we utilize their ioWhey filtration system to further refine the protein. To conclude we add ImmunoLin from Entera Health to further increase nutrient uptake, improve gut health, and boost immune function."

They took the immunolin out for V3.

Lame !!! I consume immunolin

I felt like I push harder and recover faster . I use 10 grams a day over colostrum . That’s about it . Good for the immune system since it’s loaded with igg
