Carb cycling

When carb cycling, do every single carb count? For example, I know I should be consuming mostly complex carbs during high carb day, but during low carb day do carbs in avocados, beans, tomatoes, etc count? What's the percentage of carbs does it have to be to be classified as a carb? Just wondering cuz my gf is very special and doesn't like basic food so she likes to add tomatoes and avocados and beans to everything.

Of course all carbs counts. If you eat 5g from tomatoes 10x a day then thats 50g already. Beans are heavy on carbs so you count that minus the fiber.

I don't bother counting green veggies like spinach and broc. No carbs days are under 50g for me and not counting greens hasn't neg effected my body comp at all.

^^^ i'm with you. I dont count greens as carbs. I pretty much keep track of the grain carbs and some other carbs. But for veggies i dont really keep track of those .

i agree with not counting green veggies, but I do count fiber in my carb count. its really personal preference, but I your body still converts a percentage of fiber to glucose. its more important that you are consistent with the way you track your carbs though, whether you choose to count fiber or not, just be consistent and you will see results.

Im currently in keto and do not count the carbs in the spinach, lettuce and cucumber, just net carbs in nuts and protein powders.

I've been carb cycling for a while. I count all carbs. So, if I have 250g for the day with 40g fiber, I still say I had 250g of carbs. One could go off net carbs just choose one method and stick to it.

As far as green veggies go, I count mine. I will usually have on average 450 grams of green veggies per day. That adds up both calorie wise and carb wise. If I was only having a serving a day, I probably wouldn't count them.

If you are trying to do a keto based diet, ckd tkd or strict keto, the general target is 15-30 g a day max. The lower the better. As these guys mentioned you subtract fiber from the carbs, because as mentioned your body doesnt process it. Make sure you do not neglect fiber on a keto diet, your digestion will be all screwed up. I personally stick to green cruciferous veggies during my keto days. Alot of the colorerful veggies tend to be higher in carb counts, but if they fit your allowance, than eat them. I am doing a tkd, and do not go over 20g a day on my no carb days. Im 220 lbs. If you objective is not to hit keto, then i dont think it matters that much, just as long as you keep the carbs low. Good luck bro.

I do not usually go over 10g net carbs per day on keto and use psyllium husk to get extra fiber other wise i end up with rock turds no very nice lol :).

Carb cycling involves having days where you rotate the levels of carbohydrate intake. For example, having 3 days of low Intake, 3 days of mid Intake and 3 days of high intake. The idea of this is the cycling never gives the body enough time to adapt to a regular intake level of carbohydrates and therefore can't set a concrete level of fat burning, therefore ultimately raising the metabolism of the body.

Carbohydrate cycling is particularly useful for endomorphs. That is, the body type most sensitive to carbohydrate intake. An endomorph typically has broad shoulders, a low center of gravity and is of stocky build. Endomorphs can build muscle easily but find weight loss a difficult task. If this sounds like you, then cycling your carb intake might just be a solution.

Can be utilized for lean gains too. I'm implementing it now using two low carb days, one high carb and 4 days intermediate. For cutting though it's insanely effective for me. I can drop bf at such a rapid pace.
