I have been reading a lot of information on insulin lately. I do not plan on taking it anytime soon, but i began to do research and read that it can be purchased OTC pretty much everywhere (Humulin R).

I searched online, i live in the US, i dont see any places that sell it without a perscription. Why is this, im confused?

You can get insulin OTC, except for humalog. Humalog needs a script.

OK, while trying to work up the balls to get some slin in person I looked online at CVS pharmacy. It says it's (Humulin R) a perscription item! I'm in Illinois, anyone know if the law is different here?

Certain states it is illegal without a script for both needles and insulin.

What state?

I had no clue that it is possible to buy without a script.

It's state dependent, some you need to jump thru hoops, others will hand you some Humulin-r no questions asked..

Okay I just tried this last night...I banged her...I turned her nobs but that wasn't insulin that came out of her spout...hmmm

Are you sure it is the cute one I'm suppose to bang? I'm willing to lower my standards if it means me gets some slin.

I am guessin they ahve to have some sort of official card or something to get the slin. Think about it, if someone goes hypo or whatever may be the case they ahve to go get an Rx while they are weakening? I know you can get pins just about anywhere these days for that reason. i have a feeling the laws may have been adjusted. Im in illinois also, ill give it a shot and go to a Jewel, Dominicks, Walgreens and a CVS just to see what happens. And yes Humulin R is what you'd use for BB use. Also, it is very very touchy situation. So if you ever do be very careful.

Yes after working in the pharmacy field I am very wary of messing with my blood sugar. I am all about gettin gains in every way I can but dealing with diabetics on a daily basis really has me scared to mess with it.
