hey whats up fellas

im 19 yrs old and
ive been lifting weights for about
a year and half now while taking whey protein
without really seeing any results...
i know the old saying "it takes time and patientience"
well its gonna be two years since ive been lifting
and im not really satisfied with the results ive gotten

i was wondering if anybody knows anything about
the new product GNC is promoting called EP2 MuscleGrowth...
and you know claims will be claims but im really debating
whether to try this product...

i would really like to know what you guys take and
maybe yall can give me some knowledge on supplements
yall are taking...

thanks guys
really hoping to gain some knowledge

maybe your not training hard enough or your diet isnt where you should be. diet is everything when it comes to weight lifting/bb. you prob think your eating correctly, but most likely your not and the reason i say this is b/c you stated "not really satisdied with the results ive gotten".

every year i gain more and more knowledge about supp and nutrition. every year i think i know it and then when i look back i realized i didnt.

what are you goals you wanting to meet that your not satisfied with? leaning out? bulk?

As ryaroberts pointed out, it's mostly in your DIET. If your diet's not targeted at your body goals, then you won't get the results you want. I assume you want gains in muscle mass, and for that you have to be eating enough for an army.

As for supplememts, you don't really need anything aside from the basic staples at your age (and with your limited training history):
* Creatine
* Multivitamin
* Good Fats
* Protein powder
* BCAA's (some protein powders have these in)

You also need to vary your training regime/programme to get results; you can't do the same thing over and over and expect results. You should be changing things every 4-6 weeks (even just minor adjustments like sets. reps, recovery, exercises, order of exercises, etc.; and it doesn't have to be a complete overhaul of everything).

As for learning about different supplements, I suggest that you do some of your own personal research, looking at different supplements and what they do and their mechanism/how they work, etc., instead of just asking everyone for what they know (and you're bound to learn a lot more that way too).

if you're not seeing results, the answer is not to turn to other supplements. supplements are there to boost your diet and training.

it's your diet.

what are your goals?

agree. i personally switch up training every month. so one month is workout "A" the next month is workout "B" then i go back to "A" the following, repeat. it helps shock the muscles. plus i noticed when i go back to the previous months exercises ive become stronger.

Its guaranteed that your problem is diet and training, not maybe for sure. Eat well, add heavy deadlifts, squats and cleans and you will grow like a weed.

People here can help you more if you can provide information about your diet such as:

Total Calories (carbs/fat/protein)

How many meals you eat a day? What foods are you eating? Also, alcohol and drug intake would be nice.

Also a layout of your workout schedule would be needed and information on your history of supplements.

Nutrition (and Sleep) 80-90%

Training 10-18%

Supplements 2-5% (maybe)

for sure eat more. Breakfast keep the fruits, but throw in some oat meal, maybe 5+ eggs.

take a protein shake inbetween that and lunch, grab some celery with natural PB or a nutragrain bar

then eat lunch. A peice of meat, veggies, a good source of carbohydrates. 2 tablespoons Peanut butter

then repeat the protein shake and nutragrain bar idea above maybe with some rice cakes or something

then for dinner eat a whole peice of meat, veggies, carbohydrate

take some protein before bed again and you are set.

I usually snack on quite a few nuts, rice cakes, oatmeal, whole veggies, protein bars throughout the day

I still amazed at how guys bigger than me can get away with eating so little.

You really need to eat more. Definitely more carbs before and after your workout.

the 2 hours after your workout is the key to feeding your muscles.

You should be eating or at least snacking every 3 hours preferably with whole foods except maybe after your workout. Keep fat intake to a minimum in your post WO meal.

I'm sure other people will give good advice too but yea you need to it.

Food = the best supplement

Your focus should be on your diet especially at 19. Change your diet and you'll explode and that's a guarantee.

are u still in High School? or are you out in college or working? I can see if u cant eat alot in HS because you cant eat in classes and the long day you have lunch and breakfast and like 10 hours of going to school coming home etc..

but if your in college you have class for maybe 4-5 hours tops and can eat in class theres no reason you oculdnt be eating more.. From the sound of ur diet you need more protiens in eat like meats nuts pb etc.. It takes alot more then a whey protien shake after working otu to get big. Try to eat 3 meals with at least 20 g protien in it a day break lunch and dinner and 3 shakes a day. and snack on nuts w/e in between.

got food? =P eat some oatmeal, black/pento beans, brown rice, steak, pork tend, chicken, turkey, maybe even some protein bars

You're not eating ENOUGH, or OFTEN enough.

what my goals are is to basically increase my
muscle size like i want to get bulkier and increase my strength

At your age the answer is FOOD, FOOD, and MORE FOOD (as well as training for hypertrophy and strength and getting plenty of recovery to allow your muscles to make progress).

On the supplement side of things you don't need much at your age.

Either whey or EAA, I'm started to lean more heavily towards EAAs.

Fish Oil caps would be good too especially since your diet isn't in check and it doesn't look like you have a very high fat intake, you need good fats!!

Multi-vitamin is good for everyone.

Creatine Mono if you want to use it. I started using it around 18 or 19 when I first started working out and I exploded in strength and have been cycling it ever since.

That's really it man, you don't and shouldn't take anything else at your age. The rest of your focus should be on eating, sleeping, and training hard. Once you get your diet and sleep in order then you can start looking into different types of routines which would help you reach your goals. Take that money you want to use towards supplements and buy some steak and chicken breast.

i will most definately look into eating more then 3 times a day
i was just afraid of over eating and then blowing up like a whale
but thanks to you guys i will listen to what yall are telling me

ill spend more money on food then the supplements so thanks
guys again and im gonna post my progress in the progress tracker

hopefully changing up my diet will get me to where i wanna be
yeah i was really looking into trying roids and **** like that but
na ill wait til im older for that stuff...

Your 19 6'2 205 and you maintain that with 3 meals a day, one of which is a frakkin salad. There is no need for you to ever take roids. IMO of course.
