cAMP/cissus/IGF-1 log

Giardia lamdalosis..it's a dinoflagellate parasite yes..but it's likely just standard Salmonella or E coli. Giardia is generally caught from drinking or exposure to contaminated water..like on rafting trip which is where I got mine.

The hallmark symptom of Giardia is non-stop, godawful smelling flatulance..like an unbelieveable volume of gas every 30 seconds, diarhea, nausea but vomiting is rare.

other than 20+ trips to the shitter everyday, i feel pretty good. stomach makes horrible protests that sound like mini-thunderstorms when i'm eating. measured my waist for shits and giggles this morning and yup, i've lost 1/2" since last friday. i refuse to measure anything else. :frustrate

Oh, I forgot...the other negative is that salmonella has been known to cause irreversible shrinkage of the spongiosum tissue when exposed to supraphysiological levels of IGF-1....so, you may lose an inch or so on your penis, too :eek:

yes, but to counteract that side effect, i made a test transdermal lotion that works wonders.

37" waist. not bad for 5/8" in 5 days. my poor calves can't take much more of this though. i'm starting to wonder how much food is actually digesting and how much is just going straight through.

296 here bro... Tren rocks :D Getting stronger, and going to crack under 40" waist within week hopefully... Looks like I'm going to get around 15lbs of solid muscle out of this one.

anyhoo, feels like the salmonella (or whatever it was) is clearing up. haven't visited the little boys room today and i've been through 2 solid food meals so that's an improvement. just in time for the cheat meal. :twisted:

thanks for the dedication on that one :lol: One of my lifting buddies makes jokes about "powerbears" and "the bearcave" all the time.

It just gives me more fuel to get strong and make fun of glen's pretty pink panties ;)
 
Weight : 236 lbs

I was yearning for the gym after all that time off. I was very surprised to see I lost only 5lbs after that bout of salmonella. Regardless, the workout today felt awesome. As I mentioned before, I had restarted squats to make sure I had the technique down perfectly, pausing at the bottom on ATG squats. Up 1 rep from last go round with those, could have got another one but I was about to tip over from exhaustion. Leg press went decent but I was pretty dead from squats. Next week should be better. Bi's felt awesome, hard to judge strength from the last one, as I'm making sure to stick to the 3-2 TUT for all sets. Had an awesome pump. And much to my surprise, a lot of the guys at the gym I see everyday said I looked bigger than last week, so I dunno.

Made another diet change to account for the weight loss to ensure fat keeps dropping. Getting about 300 grams of protein, 130 grams carbs, 55 grams fat.
 
I checked it on Sunday and it read 36.75". Didn't want to report it because I was probably pretty depleted from the lack of solid food for so long. If it measures that on Friday, I'll be a happy guy.
 
Haha...I bet. That's a good number, man.

How are the calves coming along? Is the IGF-1 having any good localized effects?
 
they were actually up 1/8" at the end of the first week. i checked them on sunday night and i had lost that and more, hopefully just glycogen depletion. i can't afford to lose any from that area.

don't have any place to check it that i know of. the gym i go to uses that electronic thingy that you hold out in front of you and from what i hear, it ain't that accurate.
 
The Body Fat Calipers are fairly cheap and work fairly well from what I hear. Like these:

Calipers can be really inaccurate. I have lots of loose skin from when I was an obese alcoholic pig and so caliper readings put me at >40%, lol.

I use the navy method, it's been pretty accurate for me. I'm going to get hydrostatic weighing done at some point to get a really dialed in number though.

That never worked for me in the Marines. It always said I was like 21%, but I was more like 16-17%.

I use it a lot because it's only 2 measurements, and I'm more interested in the trend than being totally correct.

Glad it's holding there for the time being. Chest/shoulders today. Went great as expected. Still adjusting to the 3/2 TUT routine but I'm starting to really like it. Flat bench up 2 reps, incline hammer press up 20lbs. This is the first time in a long time that I've worked shoulders after chest so it's kinda hard to judge strength. Planning to leave it this way for a while though. Diet is still relatively painless but insanely strict.

You need to start posting weights with your reps and sets there little guy ;)

no need to list all the exercises, but here's the main ones from today. all follow the 3/2 TUT thingy. just feel the need to explain why all the weights are lower than normal, that **** is hard and it's a big hit to the ego.

bench press
255 x 8 reps (6 last week)
hammer incline
230 x 6 reps (200 for 8 last week)

No need to feel ashamed man, when I do slow TUT style stuff (pretty rarely I admit) I get the same sort of hit. Hell, even if I'm not doing TUT style stuff, if I go from doing 5 reps to 10, I take a huge hit. I full range OHP 165 for ~10 with a 2:4 tempo going, but if I do more ballistic lifts I can can crank out 245 for 5 easy... That's a big ego hit :D

Bobo's repopularized the TUT on this board, I think there's a place for it, though y'all go kinda crazy with it.
