Calcium Absorption and Supplements ?

It's a general belief that you shouldn't take calcium and ZMA at or near the sametime. Because your body will spend most of it's effort absorbing the calcium a negating the benefits of the ZMA. My question is would this be true of other supplement's and/or PH's. Or is this a belief a load of:spam:
I have read a few article that say one way or they other was wondering what the general consensus is.

bump any thoughts anyone

This is true from what I've read. I know other vitamins are contraindicting aswell. Don't eat apples ugh certain medications because it can inhibit absorption. Take grapefruit with certain medicines or steroids and it increases absorption (read: androseries). But grapefruit can also inhibit some medications from absorbing as well.

Some of the posts show a bit more understanding. Rats aren't human, for one thing. Another poster pointed out that "plus i thought calcium had more of a negative influence on magnesium than zinc-this being reason for not taking zma close to taking calcium."

Who really knows, though. IMO, just don't take them at the same time
