hey, refresh my memory...how are you dosing?
 
Because of my schedule (working days & nights) there's really been no set dosing. I always start my day off w 2 & go from there. I woke up today @ 1:15 & popped 2 right away. 30 min after that, I was wired & ready to roll. Went outside & ran 4 miles @ a 8:45 minute pace! I was sucking wind, but still had the energy to go.

It's sunny & 75 down here right now. Everyones outside cutting their grass & boiling crawfish. Me, I get to go to work in 1.5 hours. I'd much rather eat some crawfish & drink an ice cold beer. Instead, I'll stop at the store & pick up salad fixins & 2 cans of tuna for tonights dinner at work! Lol.
 
I've been thinking. I've been training for this 10k, running more miles than I have since my Marine Corps days. I'm still hovering just above that coveted 165 mark on the scale. These past couple of weeks in the AM news threads, I've been seeing more & more articles about the negatives of steady state cardio, and jogging. The stories are all hyping different forms of interval training. So, I'm goingto change things up. I'm averaging around 1,700 calories per day. I should be dropping the weight. After this 10k, I'm going into sprints. Here's to hoping I don't pull a freakin hamstring!! Lol. I did that about 2 years ago, but don't think I warmed up enough.

I'm already looking forward to it! Especially now that our weather has warmed up. I live on a cul de sac, so I have my track right in front of my house!
 
I'm more determined than ever to peel more fat off these abs. Gonna be a sprinting fool!!
 
I thought it wasn't safe to take calories below your BMR?

I pulled my groin last year, either from sprinting or ab rollers. It WS not a good feeling.

I definitely think you'd be better off with the interval training for fat loss, but definitely need that steady state to get you ready for that 10k. Just my 2¢

Just knocked out 4 miles in 36 min on the treadmill. Felt great. One more run day before the race this Sat. Probably dial back the pace a little tomorrow morning.

I did a ton of abs this morning before the run. Feeling very tight around the core right now.

Looking forward to starting the sprints on Monday.
 
Combustion - Day 24

Weight - 167.. Damn, those last 2lbs are killing me!!

I think this past weekend was actually worse for me, instead of it being where I shedded the extra lbs. I stressed my body a little too much w/ not nearly enough sleep, not clean enough on the diet, and just working too many hours.

Since the weekend passed, I've tightened it up a little more and have gotten back into the groove of things. I hit the gym Tuesday morning for an incredible arm workout. The energy I had throughout the session was awesome. When I got to work (had a 5 hour refresher class), I couldn't sit still.. lol, some of the guys noticed that if I wasn't tapping my foot, that I had to be doing something else. I was wide open!!

I hit the gym yesterday morning for a quick 4 mile run on the treadmill. Felt great all the way. Great energy, great focus, and no cramping up on the calves!

I took this morning off, but that's just cuz I overslept. Fortunately for me, the wife woke me up & I still made it to work on time. I guess getting that extra 2 hours of sleep didn't suck though! Lol..

Tomorrow, I'll hit the gym for a little weights and then Saturday morning is the Crescent City Classic 10K down in New Orleans!! Can't wait! Supposed to be nice weather too. I'm going to try for a 9 minute mile throughout. It's a flat course, so we'll see. The only bad part though, is that there's so many racers, I'll probably be walking almost the first half mile! I'm not going to start my running app till I'm actually running.

After that, I'll more than likely take Sunday off, spend Easter w/ the family, then Monday, I'm getting after it again! Going to start the interval cardio!! I've only got a few days left worth of pills, but I'll probably stop by in here when I finally hit that 165lb mark!

I'll come back on here either Sat evening or sometime on Sunday to let y'all know how I did on the race.
 
averaging 9 minute miles would be very nice!!!

Finished!! Had a great run too!! I stayed back w my wife the first teo miles then she told me to be free. Lol. I took off & never looked back!!

Haha, thanks dude. I won't lie, I think about my beloved Corps every day. I have no regrets in my life, but I do miss it. The family I have today has replaced my Marine Corps family. Lol.

thats it..family!!! we used to fight all the time on ship, even had 'smokers' night to settle scores...but put us out in town on liberty and you knew your 6 was covered!!!

still waiting to get my bottle of combustion, sounds like it is working well!!!
 
Combustion - Day 29 FINAL REVIEW

FINAL WEIGHT - 167

First off, I have to thank all the fine folks over @ BPS for giving me this opportunity to log this product! Sure, I was accepted on their team as a rep midway through my run, but I still ran this like all of my other logs. Non-biased opinion.

I didn't quite make it down to the 165 like I had wanted, but just because the bottle is empty, doesn't mean my drive is.. Why do I want to get down to 165? I guess it's just another goal. I'm far from being as lean as I'd like. I haven't seen my abs this clearly in years, and I'm determined to get them even more defined. Like some of the other guys on here were saying, being able to get out there in the yard in the summer & cut the grass w/ the shirt off is nice. I'll be damned if I'm gonna walk around the yard w/a friggin gut hanging over my shorts..

So, anyway, what'd I think of the new version of Combustion?? Top notch!! BPS picked up right where they left off w/ the original. It gave me everything the old one did and then some! The energy here was much cleaner/smoother and there definitely wasn't any crash of the sort at the end of the day.

My usual dosing was 2 upon waking and then a 3rd about 7-8 hours later. This scheme was perfect for me. It had me wide open in the mornings for my cardio or weights, and then later in the day, I'd pop one more to get me through to the other side w/ a nice, slow fade to the evening hours. The energy from 2 in the morning was fun. It definitely kicked up my mood! I found myself being more of a talker when on this, lol!! My wife had to tell me to let her wake up before coming home in the morning all amped up on this.

The appetite suppression was pretty good too! I think this was mostly dictated by my workouts. If I really hit it hard in the morning, I'd still find myself fairly hungry a little sooner in the day. Rest days were awesome! No workout - no appetite!

The thermo effect was pretty good in the mornings as well on two pills. I don't normally sweat a whole lot, but I found myself sweating quite a bit during weight sessions. Not really normal for me. Obviously, during cardio, I'd be drenched.

Like I said a couple days ago. Combustion helped me train for, and run a personal best in that 10k this past weekend!! I'm seriously considering a half marathon in November. We'll see. I'll tell you what, if I do, I'll be running another bottle of Combustion!!

Let's just say I don't believe in overkill for pct and also during cycle support. I've been preparing for this one for a while now.

why would you want to keep cals low on sd?

it's time to gain....add some dcp 2.0!!!

I agree, but would use it as part of PCT personally.


That way you can keep the calories high enough to solidify and maintain the cycle gains and minimize fat gain.
 
The research I've done on the DCP looks like it would be perfect for both on and pct. my budget however, tells me pct would be perfect for it. :D
 
i agree with you guy's logic...both would be good but if a choice had to be made pct wins!!!
