Bulletproof MCT Coffee mixture?

Yeah, well, when you do a 60 mile Mt bike ride, a 1-2hr trail run, AND a weight workout every day.... You need those calories. Freak.

Boy, these ads for 'The Muscle Book' really make me want to click on them!

I only wish there were more of them taking up even more real estate on my screen...

Anyway, I'd love to order coffee from you poison!

How do I get my hands on the coffee??

Invalid Link Removed I am using his Espresso Toro & Ethical Grade c! both states great.

Glad you like the Torro! I recently ran out of the base Brazil used in the Torro, which was a crazy awesome lot of coffee, and had to buy a lesser lot to fill in until something better comes along. So while it's still good, just you wait, it gets much better. :)

I also ordered a new top Colombian, part of the same project from the same supplier as my current Colombia. I'm so excited, these are absolutely gorgeous coffees, relevatory, as a customer put it. And I just put up a new Sumatra Aek Nauli, it's in the store now; it'll be replacing the awesome Sulawesi Toarco, only 2lbs left of that.

Nice. Just ordered some of the Sulawesi the other day. I'm going to have to try your new Columbian next.

I will make that happen just to please you.

Thiss thread has kept me hyped for a minute now.

Poison's about to have another covert.

If you guys are curious, I apprenticed with a master roaster for 2 years, then sold my mt bike to fund the purchase of my own roasting equipment in 2005. It barely qualifies as roasting equipment:

Yup, that's a $120 Home Depot Charbroil BBQ, with a custom fabricated perforated steel drum, and accompanying motor setup. I roasted 20,000 lbs, at least, from 2005-2013, 2lbs at a time. That's over 10k batches, in rain, sun, freezing cold and burning heat, outside, day and night. I do it still around my day job, because it's not big enough to support me yet. Last summer I nearly broke, and quit. It hasn't been financially beneficial, really, and it's frustrating as hell, but life happens and sometimes good things too, and I bought the roaster below:

It arrived in October. It's a 6lb per batch San Franciscan, made in Nevada, built like a brick **** house, and extremely capable. Before, every gust of wind, and every temp change screwed with my roast. Now, I'm indoors, and I have accurate temp controls, air flow control, cooling, etc. It's amazing. I love it. My coffee has always been great, with my best batches being as good as anyone's on the planet, but I couldn't replicate that 100% every time. Now I can.

The business is just me and my wife. I work full time as a bodyguard, coffee on the side, and rep for a supp company elsewhere too, while my wife raises our kids. It's been a tough haul, but this year is looking good, and I'm hopeful. Last year someone asked me why I do it; I just looked at him, like 'are you ****ing kidding me? Why do you think? For the money, 2lbs at a time? No, because I love it.'

Yeah.

Plenty Tolima left. Congrats on the Bonavita, they are AWESOME! Got a grinder?

I got home from work and my Bonavita was waiting. So I just brewed a pot of Espresso Torro and what a difference in taste. The coffee taste much different and not to mention it is very hot. Thanks for the recommendation!

Awesome! Glad you are enjoying fresh coffee from a good machine! Next step: operation grinder!

Good to see someone so passionate about something. I hope it works out for you man. If you ever get big enough to ship overseas, hit me up!

Thanks! The problem with that is shipping time and freshness. 7-10 days is too long, you're missing the whole freshness window, and faster shipping is exorbitant.

Thoughts on Hario Skerton?

The slim is better than the Skerton. The top gear attachment is metal, not plastic, and won't strip.

Is there a grinder that you recommend?

The slim one I linked above, or the $130 baratza encore. Or the $80 Capresso Infinity.

Btw, if I reach 1000 likes on fb today I'll post a 20 percent off coupon in celebration. I never post coupons over 10 percent, so yeah, keep your eyes open.

New Ethiopia is up:

dry grounds smell of tropical fruit, jasmine, and honey, while in the cup, black and elderberry combine with gingersnap cookies, tangerine, and jasmine, and it's all super-sweet and sparkling clean. Absolutely superb.

Admin you still doing the Bulletproof in the AM? You still feeling and or seeing the benefits regarding energy and possible body composition? Any appetite suppression?

I feel the benefits but I don't add what the original calls for. I don't put nearly the amount of butter or MCT oil in as the original. It's just too high calorie for me... It does t mix with the rest of the day.

As for results I see increased energy and ability to reach ketosis quicker.

I just whizz a glug of Nordic Naturals cod liver oil in in my nutribullet and call it a day.

:yuck:

Hows your business going?

It's going, thank you! Trying to segue from my full-time job to coffee full time. It's not easy to do, with a family in tow!

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Yessir! Since last year, I got myself out of my garage, and into a tiny-but-legit commercial space. I've managed to get myself some decent press, like this:

I like coffee, why haven't you taken my money and sent me good coffee yet. Probably because I forgot the name of your coffee company and haven't seen you around to ask you to remind me what it is again.

Ha, yeah, it was very cool of him, definitely didn't have to do that.

Do you know him personally? Or did he just find out about your coffee?
