breezy's training, supplementation, and food log

Thanks guys. I ended up 6th I believe in a class of 30+. I knew I'd be small for my height so I made it my goal to bring my best conditioning to date and hopefully the best in the class. Mission accomplished, but it wasn't enough to make up for my lack of size. Pushing hard to get conditioning on point also made it nearly impossible to fill back out. I had 1200-1500g each of the last 3 days before the comp, along with a fat load on Friday night, but it just wasn't enough. If I could go back, I'd start carb loading about a week out, as I look a lot better today after another day of eating a ridiculous amount of food. Either way, lesson learned and it was a great experience overall. Despite still not feeling great (my body took a beating) I got back in the gym today and won't be stepping back on stage agin until I add a good amount of size.

still an awesome showing! glad to hear it

but now what we all really want to know.... what did you eat after???? haha

Conditioning was on point!
When are you aiming for the next show?
You had mentioned wanting to put on more size and comparing the initial pic from this log to your current physique, I'm excited to see what another year will bring for you

Thanks man. I planned on killing this large bacon cheeseburger calzone and pint of ice cream, but was too beat to even come close. I had like 5 pieces and called it a night. I ate the rest and everything else I could get my hands on the next day though lol.

Thanks brother.

Not sure, but it'll be a while. I'll probably spend the next year growing before even considering any potential shows.

I found some show pics, but I need to buy them for $8 each...There are usually decent pics up on various bodybuilding sites, but I was told that might not happen. The photographer selling the pics is sometimes hired by the NPC to be the only person taking professional shots. Hopefully, they post free ones, but I'll buy some either way and post them up.

Amazing!

I'll have a bunch more, but this is all I could upload for now

Amazing showing! your conditioning was easily the best in those pics. And that first pic WOW on the rear delt popping! thats insane!

too beat to eat haha... I never thought that was even possible!

You looked great up there, Matt! Well proportioned IMHO compared to the others.

Thanks J! I actually placed higher than the guys in the lineup pics. There aren't any lineup shots with the guys ahead of me because they based call outs on quarter turns only (none of the poses in pics), which never happens, but there were a ton of guys in every class so they sped things up (number of competitors set a record for Boston). That said, once I hit my first legit pose, I was moved towards the center and stayed there.

Thanks brother. I was told by quite a few people conditioning was the best in class and at least top 3 in show. I should have a bunch more pics to post, most likely tomorrow. Some night show and a bunch from lineups.

Lol yeah that was a first. I was just happy to be alive honestly ha. I put my body through hell and still feel like crap.

Here's one more lineup shot. There's actually 10 guys on the stage.

Congrats Breezy!!!

Last couple are duplicates, but I received higher quality copies.

Nice job Matt! Looking huge.

How are you feeling after the carb up, Matt?

Well, I had an insane amount of carbs everyday, starting Wednesday last week up until Tuesday. I'm not having as much now, but am starting to feel somewhat normal again.

Damn breezy11 ....I was always used to your hockey avatar....didn't know you were so jacked!

Bc no one looked at my prep log bc I'm a degenerate and stopped posting. He's an a mature iPhone shot from my show. Only shot that's breezy11 worthy prolly any was

Holy **** breezy, I thought your page one pics were decent but these are incredible. The amount of hard work you put in definitely shows here and no doubt in the next few years you'll be taking top spot.

Kudos on your hard work

The last couple of days have been extremely tough. Thankfully, I'll be eating plenty of carbs today, which should have me feeling better (for a short period of time). One meal down and my body is responding fast. I should continue to tighten up and fill out throughout the day. Lighting is awful here, but I'll try to get a few more pics as changes become more apparent.

What compounds were you running gear wise here?

This. The improvements are obvious so this just enforces how hard you truly have been working. Keep it up!

Thanks man. I'm looking forward to making some solid progress this off season.

Thanks dude. I'm pretty excited to see how the next year or so goes. While I'm confident that I can make solid progress and prep on my own, I've decided to start working with someone. We are in the process of getting things started and should hopefully have a plan together soon. I'm also really looking forward to learning more from the experience and having somewhat of a mentor, which will benefit me and my clients.

Porter?

Not Porter or one of the well know "gurus", but someone I've followed for a few years and have a lot of respect for. He's been coached by John for several years and was asked to join the Mtn. Dog team a year or 2 ago. Prior to that, he worked with and learned from Dante Trudel. He's been coaching and competing in the northeast for quite a while as well, so he and some of his clients are always at the shows here.

That is cool though man. Going to be interesting to see the changes in the growing season with a coach on your side.
