breezy's training, supplementation, and food log

Sounds like the workout was a rough one!

That meal looks kick ass. My step-daughter made a sandwich just like that yesterday - however between the two waffles was 3 scoops of Neapolitan ice cream. I was jealous as hell lol

Yeah, I'm struggling to stand.

Thanks, it sure was. Haha that sounds great. I may have a pint of Haagen-Daz Peanut Butter Pie tonight (it's fantastic), but without waffles lol.

I shouldn't have entered this thread today. Craziness up there...looks soooooo good.

Thanks bolt. There should be a lot of good eats for the next couple months or so (next show is end of April).

Yup.

Jesus man, the food.

It's the best.

What is your dosings like for Reompadrol/AP/Metabolic Powder at the moment?

Today's session wasn't the longest, but the intensity made what was accomplished more than enough (especially with just getting back to leg training).

Banded Standing Leg Curls
30x20
30x20
50x12
70x8
80x6, x25 partials

4th set: The added tension on the eccentric had my hamstrings lit up.

Hack Squat
90x30
90x25, x5, x5, banded holds x3
90x25, x5, x5, banded holds x2, 30 sec rest, 90x10 (2 sec pause out of bottom)

-constant tension/no lockout

-standing on block/toes pointed out/pushing off balls of feet

2nd set: I was going to finish with these, but couldn’t resist giving them a go. I’d planned on having someone press down on the machine for added tension during the holds, but there wasn't anyone around. I got creative and added bands, which provided a ton of tension and had me ready to cry lol. I only cut out 6 seconds of video, so there wasn't much rest before the holds. The final set with additional reps was ridiculous.

Smith Lunges / Smith 1.5 Squats
110x8 (8R/8L) / x8
120x6 / x6
130x4 / x4

-20lbs bar resistance

-constant tension both exercises

-squat: feet in front of bar

-I tried to record the second set, which was one of the toughest to grind out that I can remember. I wish I could see it, as I must’ve looked like I was going to collapse (I was). My legs were pretty much dead after hack squats and everything that followed was pure torture.

Leg Extensions / Tear Drop Busters
90x10 / 8
90x8 / 6
90x7 / 5

-extensions: 3 sec hold in contracted position / lowering to just before weight bottomed out

-tdb’s: legs were shaking uncontrollably the entire time

BB Back Squat (ATG)
45x12
65x10
85x8

-Just checking to see if my legs were dead and they definitely were lol. It took a ton of effort to complete each set.

What is your dosings like for Reompadrol/AP/Metabolic Powder at the moment?

Minimal, as I used a ton during prep and am starting to run low. I'll use it before ice cream if I have some tonight though. I plan on grabbing more of both soon.

All supplementation has actually been minimal since the show. All I've used is Jack3d AF occasionally (been using black coffee a lot), OxyELITE Protein, AP, Recompadrol, and MP. I'm out of BCAA's (and pissed I missed out on the AminoIV deal), but have Modern BCAA+ on the way. I'll be starting a TEST Powder and PowerFULL run soon though and can't wait to be feeling great and sleeping like a baby.

Edit: I used Glycofuse (just added it back, but am almost out) and a sample of NO Shotgun (has Peptopro and a bunch of other stuff) today.

Glad to hear your dada doing well breezy!

2nd and 5th (drop) sets: I'd never used this machine before and I'm not sure why. It was one of the better chest machines that I've tried and will keep it in the mix.

Nice workouts Breezy. That machine did look pretty effective..

Thanks wasme. I'm really enjoying the mix of heavy/pump days. Yeah, I was able to get a solid chest contraction very easily. It could potentially be my new favorite machine for chest work.

I picked up some groceries this morning and Trader Joes had a ton of new items (like they always do).

I was pumped to see this. It's been a few years since my last trip to Canada. :)

Leg session tomorrow morning with post-workout grass fed ground beef mixed with poutine.

Not as exciting, but another new item that I grabbed.

Please take a pic of this when it has been plated up! Love me some Poutine - Montreal style!

Will do! I think I'll add some crumbled bacon to it as well. Peel Pub in Montreal was probably the last place that I had some. They have about 10 different variations of it.

Yes sir!

Thanks. They're pretty weak compared to a few months ago, but should improve at a good pace.

Yeah, I was very impressed. The gravy and cheese curds were both a lot better than expected. You should try writing a letter to that crazy mayor up there. :D

Lol he's been in the news for quite a while around here.

11/21/13

This morning's chest/shoulder session was great. I approached things a little differently and loved it. The majority of the workout was inspired by Mark Dugdale, who is currently training under Meadows. The number of movements was down, but the sets performed for some of them was up. I'll probably be adding some massive sets over the next couple of month's (for all muscles) as well, starting with 30-40+ reps and finishing with ~5 reps. These will also include some cool intensity techniques (similar to the hack squat video last week). After seeing what Meadows had to say about his time spent with Tom Platz, it looks like there's a possibility that a similar approach could be incorporated into his next program.

Gironda dips look interesting/painful. Your upcoming plans sound pretty sick..

That's a good way to describe them. They're a lot harder than I thought they'd be (probably shouldn't have even counted the last couple reps on each set). Yeah, I'm wicked excited and have been thinking about it all day lol. Tomorrow's back session can't come soon enough.

After minimal supplementation since my competition and going 100% supp-free for the last week (including protein, BCAA's, pre-workout), I'm starting up a few products tonight/tomorrow:

TEST Powder
PowerFULL
AP
Modern BCAA+
Glycofuse
Jack3d AF
OxyELITE Protein

It feels like forever since I last used TEST Powder or PowerFULL. I'm pumped to have them back and can't wait to try the TP/Jack3d AF combo, pre-workout. Modern BCAA+ will be mixed with Glycofuse intra and OEProtein will be used post, on most days. With my carb intake up, I look forward to some OxyELITE Proatmeal (with PB or AB and blueberries) pre-workout as well.

I find this funny because we competed the same day and I followed a similar approach (dropped supps for a week and for the rest of the month have only used a pre and AminoIV once I got some).

I've got some BR Test Powder that I am considering adding to AnaBeta in a couple weeks. :)

Have always loved Test Powder since my first run. I am too young to really see DAA benefits but the mood elevation, pump, and endurance boost is phenomenal. Always keep one stashed and ready for including in a stack.

That stack looks solid Breezy, I will be following along as always!

Mine arrived today.. which was pretty fast shipping to Canada I must say. Excited to give that a wirl tomorrow.

I am starting Test Powder + AnaBeta on the 27th.

Do it. One my favorite combos.

Great to hear man. It really has a lot to offer.

Thanks buddy!

That is a fine looking stack. Do you use the Glycofuse near the end of your workout or immediately after?

Thanks wasme. I start drinking it right before my workout (mixed with MBCAA+) and finish it at the end. I think I'll use 75-100g carbs and 20-25g BCAAs for tomorrow's session (putting workout together now).
