Thanks man! Yeah, my expectations were pretty high and they were definitely met. There aren't many pre-workouts that I use (more than once) and I'm pumped to have another solid option available. I'd recommend that you do.

My stim tolerance is absurd (higher than the majority of people that say theirs is high/regardless of stim breaks) and I have experience with the stim ingredients. I think most people will end up having their sweet spot be 1-1.5 scoops.

Yeah, the only one I've seen was Piston's. Based on my experience, 2 seems like it would be too much for some people. I'd definitely recommend starting low and working up if needed.

I must be numb to stims. 2 scoops of Jack3d Advanced, or a full scoop of Gameday, or a full scoop Muscle Marinade...several cups of coffee throughout the day - doesnt matter!

I figured that you had a very high tolerance to most stims. It takes a lot to get me going as well. I don't drink coffee or any other caffeinated drinks though.
 
I drink monster zeros like water lol if u drink one before I workout ill usualy only do around 200mgs more caffine if its been within 45-60 mins

Haha I used to drink caffeine all day, but gave it up a few years ago.


I unexpectedly have to visit my parents tonight. Today's workout and Jack3d AF update/thoughts will most likely have to wait until tomorrow.

I actually worked legs this morning and was going to mention the sweat. I always look like I went swimming by the end of any workout, but got off to a fast start today. All it took was some standing leg curls lol.

Yeah, its awesome. I used 3 scoops (75g carbs) for a long chest and shoulder session this morning, without the slightest bit of stomach discomfort...just fast gastric clearing deliciousness. :D
 
I’m busy spending time with family this weekend, but want to get a couple workouts posted before I fall too far behind. I should have a diet/supplementation/physique/weight update tomorrow.


One thing that I’ve noticed the last couple sessions is that my endurance has been great. I believe this is due to a few things that I’ll go into detail about in tomorrow’s update.

Love this machine. I'll often substitute this for deadlifts. Only difference is arms are at the side of your shins instead of directly in front. Good for a bit of lat work on the lockout at the top. Just gets tricky finding the right starting stance so your back isn't getting killed and you can maintain your balance. I only see people at my gym doing shrugs with this, and I don't think it ever occurs to them that it works legs.

That thing is great. Yeah, I had to adjust my foot placement a couple times, but it smoked my hamstrings when I got it right. I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one who uses it at my gym lol (at least I haven't seen anyone). Have you ever used it for "Dante" Rows? They're another great option for that machine. There's a recent video in here if you haven't seen them.

I'm currently on the bike doing some fastest cardio with OxyELITE Pro powder, VERSA-1, and Compound 20 taken prior. I'll be heading out on the ocean and spending most of the day at the beach (only accessible by boat). I took a few update pics this morning that I'll try to post before leaving.

The lighting isn't the best, but I didn't want to wait for the sun to come up anymore. I'll get better pics within the next couple of weeks either way. You can see my lack of upper chest in the third pic, which I'm currently trying to correct. I'm not sure, but the "pose" that I attempted might make it look a little worse than it is as well lol. I'm holding some extra water from yesterday's 500g of carbs, but it's not too bad.

Holy smokes bro! Vascularity is at an all time high from what I can tell! Crazy vascularity in the lower abs, and road-map arms! I think you're right about the pose for the side pic. whenever you put your arms around the back, you skin pulls tight in the chest.. which makes it look flatter.

Thanks dude! Vascularity is good, but actually a little weak in those pics. Now that I've had some food and moved around, there's visible veins on both sides of my lower abdomen and a few along my obliques and shoulders. I'll take another pic when I get a chance. Yeah, the pose probably didn't help, but my upper chest needs a lot of work regardless.

Also, I haven't seen a pic of your upper back (middle trap/rhomboid/scap muscles) but adding more muscle there has actually helped my chest get bigger and the combo of the two growing together has made me look much thicker.


I suggest everyone try it- just like upper chest, you cannot have too big an upper back

Thanks Dan. These pics and the one before aren't the best comparison of my progress. The previous pic was a couple weeks old when it was posted and I continued eating below maintenance (and got a little leaner) for over a month following. At this point, I've been eating carbs for a month and in caloric surplus for 2+ weeks. I'm holding more weight recently and haven't added much fat though. I made a few small adjustments to my diet today in hopes of eliminating the minimal fat gain that I'm seeing.

Thanks ace. I've always had big shoulders, but Meadows' approach to delt training has helped round them out nicely. My rear delt size has definitely improved a good amount.

Yeah, it's been a weakness for a while and doesn't want to grow.

My upper back is decent, but I've been focusing on that area as well. Now that my calories are up, hopefully I'll see more improvement.

I've had a few workouts with Jack3d® Advanced Formula and really enjoy it. Here are my thoughts.

I don't care much about the taste, but it's awesome. I honestly can't think of another pre-workout product that I've liked the taste of more. I'd say that it has a "candy" Fruit Punch flavor. It kind of reminds me of an old Gatorade flavor (berry something?) that I loved, which also reminds me of gummy bears (red ones).

It mixes up perfectly. There hasn't been any residue left in my shaker when finished.

The energy has been solid. I feel it creeping in about 10 minutes after my first sip and it continues to build for another 20-30 minutes. I've been drinking it slowly on my ride to the gym because I enjoy the taste, which probably affects how the energy kicks in. Either way, the stim effect has been smooth, but strong, and lasts through my workouts. Focus has been great and builds up like the energy as well. I've been locked into my sessions and not wanting to leave the gym. The first day that I tried it, ¾ of my workout went by before realizing that I didn't put any music on and was just wearing my headphones lol. I'm currently using VERSA-1, but held off when first trying Jack3d AF.

I've sweat like crazy the 3 times that I've used it. I thought about taking a picture today, but it would've just looked like I was wearing a "darker" grey t-shirt because every inch was completely soaked through.

Pumps have been solid as well. With some of my training, I'll get a decent pump regardless, but have noticed an improvement. I recall during squats, that the pump was much greater than it normally is when performing them.

My endurance has been fantastic, which could be from a number of things (calories/carbs/VERSA-1/PRIME); however, the last 3 workouts there has been a notable improvement. I've been adding a couple extra sets or another exercise before feeling ready to leave.

Overall, I'm loving Jack3d Advanced Formula and would recommend giving it a shot.

I tried cookie dough, which was pretty tasty, but not up there with Quest IMO. I've tried the VPX Life Lift cookie dough as well and wasn't a fan at all. It made me hesitant to try any of the other flavors. I was actually looking to get the white chocolate raspberry Quest bars, but they weren't available.

Good to hear that they're finally available. I haven't had one in a couple months (they were sold out today). The Victory bar was good, but I'd definitely choose CCCD Quest out of the two. You should give them a shot sometime and see what you think. I'll let you know when I try PB Chip.

Sounds like a plan. I will actually see if I can find some singles to try. At this point the CDN retailer I saw only has cases.
 
Ya I am picking up some CCCD and gonna grab the new WCR as well to try soon (probably today :D ). I have been working on getting my family to eat healthier and my sister loves the Quest Bars so I am getting her some since she has been consistent with her training and diet (but of course I am going to keep some all to myself ;) ).

Let me know how WCR is. I wasn't happy when I got to the store and they weren't available :(. I actually just picked up some OxyELITE Protein today for my mother and sister. I made them a shake over the weekend (similar to the blueberry one that I made last week) and they were hooked. I've been getting them to exercise more and eat healthier as well. My mother is in her late 60's and knocking out sets of 6 ways with 2lb dumbbells lol.
 
This may be blasphemy in this thread but I think I actualy like the cinnamon roll quest bars better than the cccd lol
