Speaking of Quest Bars... just cracked me open a Peanut Butter and Jelly....

Probably my second favorite behind CCCD.

Speaking of PB & J...I saw chocolate PBJ bars at Trader Joes today. Very tempting, but I didn't grab one.

Pretty great dipped in black coffee^^^^

Didn't have a microwave but had got coffee, worked out very well

If I drank coffee, I'd definitely try it.

Thanks man. It was great. Putting South African Smoke seasoning in eggs is one of the best cooking moves I've ever made lol. I'll probably finish all of my meals with a Quest Bar today. I haven't had them for a week and can't resist.

South African Smoke seasoning huh? I'll have to see if I can find that and give it a try on my eggs (seriously love eggs haha). I'll be investing in a few boxes of Quest Bars soon enough :D.

It's from Trader Joes. I'm not sure if you can get it anywhere else. You'll love them. I got a box for $25 today in store...not bad.

In my world, yes lol. I usually get chicken breasts from a local butcher shop, but haven't been to another grocery store in months.

Correct. It usually costs a few dollars more online (with shipping) than I paid today.

Trader Joes seems like a legit store to buy groceries. All I have is Wal-Mart haha, but better then most.

Do you usually just get one flavor, or mix em up if you can?

Yup, great food and prices. I bought some ziploc bags at the wal-mart next to Trader Joes today. They don't have that kind of stuff.

I usually have about 4 different flavors on hand, but have been slacking. I'm about to order their PB cups though.
 
I have only had a few flavors of Quest Bars. My local *** store has em and went in a few times to get some, might go there right now actually to grab some :). Not sure what flavors they have though.

If they have cookie dough, definitely grab those. They're shockingly good.

Ya CCD is still exclusive there so that is the only place you will find it (or Quest's website). I grab some every time I go and the never seem to last. :o

Yeah, it's fairly new and exclusive to where you're going shopping (and Quest directly). :)

I buy them out of the back of a nutrition store in Toronto. They said until something is changed on the label they cannot sell them 'storefront'.. at least they do not charge tax that way either though!!!! I think the only flavor I did not like was coconut, and the chocolate brownie wasnt a fav either. Of course, cannot get cookie dough yet..

I wonder what's "wrong" with the label? I wouldn't want them to change a thing if I were you. Those are towards the bottom of my list as well.

I wonder how they'll be on my stomach now that it's functioning properly....

If they gave you the green light for solid food I'd probably give it a try.

I'm not gonna lie, I love the CCCD, and Banana nut.. But the PB&J sounds amazing...

They're really good. I'm going to use one in PB Marshmallow protein ice cream.

Yuuuum. I had me a very similar meal today, sorta. Bacon wrapped chicken breast with Avacado/ basil/ pine nut/ olive oil pesto in between the bacon and chicken with 2 cups mixed veges.

Sounds delicious. I don't know why I never think to wrap chicken in bacon. Maybe I'll try something similar tomorrow.

Today was my first go at chest and shoulders together and I loved it. I'm going to have the time of my life with this new training split. :)


Decline DB Press (slight decline using 25lb plates)

BB Flat Bench (1 sec pause/ explosive)

-I wanted every rep as explosive as possible. I could've stayed at 185lbs, but the last rep on the 3rd set didn't "feel" explosive enough.



Incline BB Bench (slight incline using 25lb plates)

How you did the Cage Presses, is exactly how I did them. Really felt awesome.

Thanks dude. I had a great time with it.Yes it does. They should've been combined for MD, but I split them to give me an extra training day. Now that I'm hitting them twice a week...problem solved.

Yeah, I like the constant tension variation as well, but it felt great to reset and hit each rep with max explosiveness.

Thanks, I'm eating well. Yeah, so far I've been following the RP training sessions somewhat, but swapping chain work with explosive sets (think I saw Meadows recommend the same to someone that didn't have chains...I could be wrong though). I should be able to come up with decent replacements for anything that I can't do. I love the split as well; thanks again for recommending that I check it out.
 
You guys have me thinking about this reactive pump training.. I was going to start FSt-7 on monday too.. hmm!

Hmm...I like the split layout from RP, but don't have chains or enough bands to actually do it properly. You could do something similar or try MD by following the tnation articles. Basically, my plan is to do MD/RP (Meadows) inspired training while following the RP split. I haven't done FST-7, but it seems interesting as well. Another option would be adding some Meadows variations to FST-7 like you had mentioned before.
 
That is probably what I will end up doing (adding some meadows to FST7) - although I do like the heavy and pump days of the RP training.. Perhaps I will try that after FST7... so many options! Not a bad thing really lol.

Haha. Yeah, definitely not bad, just have to figure out a plan.

You could just replace a couple exercises with FST-7 at the end of pump days or just do some Meadows inspired exercises and split with FST-7 at the end. I would just watch the total volume (not just adding FST-7 on top of an already high volume Mt Dog workout). Been a couple years since I did it but when I used FST-7 I just added it for extra volume on some lagging body parts on of my program at the time.
 
Good ideas. I wouldn't recommend adding FST-7 on top of a full high volume MD session either. Coming up with a reasonable "mix" could be fun.

No gym today.

I weighed 208lbs this morning (-9lbs overall/-2.4lbs from a week ago). That's a bigger drop than I would've liked, but I'm ok with it. I'll be bringing my calories back up a little more.

I plan on having a very low carb day...at least for me . They'll most likely be under 100g, with the majority coming from vegetables (all but 2 Quest Bars and 2 scoops of Giant Sports protein).


I went to do HIIT this morning, but there were soccer games on all of the fields. This eliminated use of the track as well and left me the hill to work with.

Pre-cardio supplementation:
1 cap VERSA-1
2 caps Compound20
1 cap AP
3 caps PowerFULL
2 scoops OEP

1.5 scoops MBCAA+ were consumed after HIIT (during cool down walk).

Cardio:
3 min jog
30 hill sprints (~13 mins)
10 min jog/walk

-The hill is steep and the sprints were very tough. I thought about stopping after 15, but told myself "5 more"...then kept doing that until I hit 30 lol.
 
That is what I usually do also haha. Have a set number you want to do, then you get there, hit the number and keep going because inside your head it is telling you to keep going :).

I actually did my HIIT outside also today. Finally nice enough to start being able to do it.
