breezy's training, supplementation, and food log

Solid pause squat weight. Speaking of HIIT I recently added hill sprints back in and man they were brutal. I still love them tho. :o

Thanks man. I could have gone a little heavier, but it seemed to do the trick lol. I'm having flashbacks of old hill sprint nightmares  I had a coach that would get pissed and have us do them for an hour straight...and then do additional sprints while dragging a tire behind us...memories lol.

I've been slacking on my speed work recently.

Getting it together this week, its gonna be teerrrriiiibbbblllleeee.

What do you do for speed work?

Ya same...and it was brutal. I felt slow and it pissed me off. Hopefully the weather warms up so I can easily get around to hitting the track and hill consistently again.

It cracked 60 degrees here yesterday and I saw snow this morning :(

Impressive numbers bro! Nice lift

Thanks dude.

Ground starts, crossover step sprint's, sled tows/pushes, etc.

It has been waving with the training (learning a lot of 'strange' exercises).

Those Pause Squats can be very intense. Nice numbers as always. Gotta love the feeling knowing that you wont be able to walk the next day after leg day haha. I usually struggle walking for 2-3 days post leg day haha.

-I had planned on doing GHRs, but it wasn’t available. The approach I took made these very tough.

I think, I'd slip and impale myself on the pole with this one!

Impressive pause squat my friend..

Sounds fun. That stuff used to be a big part of my training. Are you still working with Jason?

Thanks kbayne. Yeah, I hadn't done them in years. Haha my recovery has been great, so hopefully it won't last too long.

Haha. I like how you can use it to control the intensity.

Thank you sir.

Yeah, it's honestly one of the best decisions I've made since I started lifting.

This thread is full of great examples of lifts/exercises. I'm glad I found it.

Thanks dude. Glad to have you.

no doubt, already using several of breezy's finds!

Glad to hear it man.

Awesome. I was lucky enough to work with a great strength and conditioning coach right when I started lifting. He's been a huge help to a ton of athletes. Jason might know him.

Here's one of his sites.

I know of him.

After I get out of the army I've entertained the idea of going to NJ and trying to work with Joe DeFranco. Talked to the wife about it a little, just not sure about how the job market is up there.

I guess I didn't realize how well known he is. I think my hockey team started training with him back in 96'...I'm getting old lol.

That would be cool. I'm not sure what it's like in NJ either. I wish I had the qualifications to work with Boyle.

I know DeFranco has taken unpaid interns before (the payment is the knowledge), don't know if he still does but it would be worth a shot (assuming a decent work situation)

Yeah, that would be a great opportunity. I've been considering going back to school for Exercise Science. I'm actually trying to figure out my options right now.

Grilled chicken breast, asparagus wrapped in bacon (thanks Josh :)), steamed carrots

That meal looks epic....

That is a fine looking dinner.... What you think of the trades over the last couple of days?

Thanks. I was a little upset that we lost Iginla after it was reported we had him. It'd be a lot cooler if we got the Jagr from his mullet days, but he's still decent for an old man...maybe he could grow it out lol.

Couldnt agree more Iginla would have been a great addition. Ya Jagr still has some moves left in him...

I need to get some bacon...been way too long since I have had some. :(

I actually like turkey bacon over regular bacon :)

Trader Joes has a decent selection. The uncured peppered turkey bacon is delicious.

Haven't tried Trader Joe's. That peppered turkey bacon sounds bomb.

Now I'm pissed haha

Loving the videos Breezy. I've never tried spider crawls so i wouldn't know but you sure do look like you're in pain while you're doing them.

Thanks classic. I'm not sure if you thought I was in that video, but it's just an example. Either way, they're definitely a challenge, and I'd recommend giving the supersets a try.

Oh yeah I did think that was you haha. I don't think I've ever seen your face in a video and you always cover up with a tee when you lift so I didn't know the difference. That guy is huge and shredded. You should have just gone on letting me think it was you. :p

i like and do these on a reg basis..

Nice. I try to include them a couple times a month.

Haha that's what I'd figured. It's actually IFBB Pro Santana Anderson with John Meadows. I usually just type "Example" before the video when it's not me. Maybe my face will make an appearance next time. I haven't gone sleeveless in a while, but my pics are :)
