So I went with Mountain Dog
5 pages in and FINALLY get an actual workout done!!
First day back and I decided to do legs. After my wife hounding me for two weeks about me taking it easy when I got back, it was a little nerve wracking doing any kind of weight!!
So I either went really light and higher reps, or both haha. I'll work back up each week.
LEGS and CALVES
Reverse calf raises (tibia raises)- on smith machine, standing on small platform
2 set of 15@85, 2 set of 15@65
Calf Raises on Leg Press--30 sec rest periods
6 sets of 15@4 plates
Barbell Straight leg deads- 2 WU sets
3 sets of 6 @155
Leg Press- 2 WU sets
3 sets of 15 @270+ sled
These probably made me the most nervous. Although it was very light, just the abdominal pressure on the negatives kind of worried me.
Hack Squats- 2 WU sets---on Smith machine, because we don't have a Hack Squat at the gym, so I improvised.
2 sets, with 2 double drops. I used 3 25's on each side and dropped one each set.
So it went 8 reps @195, drop, 8 reps @145, drop, 8 reps @ 95 then repeat
Step ups 20" platform
2 sets @ bodyweight x10 each leg
Lying Leg Curl
2 sets of 25 @50lbs
5 min cool down on treadmill
Even though I didn't go heavy like I would of liked, I SWEAT MY BUTT OFF!! And all in all had a good workout. I could really feel it in my hammies. Came home, had a protein shake with 2 DCP's and will eat some chicken and white rice in a few.
Also my time didn't work out to well. I took 1 combustion this morning with a Hydrive, but didn't get one preworkout. So I took a scoop of Presurge about 20mins before the gym.
Looks like tomorrow is Chest and shoulders. It's been a LONG time since I have trained them together,so it should be fun!
