BPC 157 -- anybody tried the healing peptide?

3 months into a shoulder injury, and after 3 months of no pressing and limited to non-existent workouts, I've decided to take the plunge and start pinning BPC 157.

Has anyone on here tried it? I'm interested to hear the experience you have with it, or any other knowledge you may have on the subject.

Is this stuff the real deal? Or just yet another joint product that you can't tell if it's doing anything?

Any tips on how to pin the right spot?

Have you tried Ipamoerlin or Ostarine as possible joint fixes?

Or mega dosing liquid fish oil at an upwards of 20g/day?

or GHRP-6 w/ CJC?

Just some suggestions that I have seen studied tried and true a bit more

I have Ostarine on the shelf, actually. Do you think that would be worth it? I'd really rather not suppress my HPTA and not get gains to show for it. What would an Osta protocol look like for joint rehab? Is it effective?

The fish oil is not a bad idea. I've been running about 7 grams/day. Couldn't hurt to try more I guess.

Um, yes it could. Do not dose fish oil that high. Plasma saturation is achieved at 3g epa/dha daily. Megadosing fish oil creates a pro-oxidative environment that actually slows down healing. Unfortunately, the "bros" think if some is good, more is better, which isn't the case.

Ostarine won't help joint issues.

The GH peptides may have a very mild effect. I tried bpc 157 to no avail for my shoulder injury.

I've used Animal Flex and got great results for my shoulder and ankle injuries, but nothing worked as good as a cortisone shot for my shoulder.

I always hear mixed opinions on cortisone. Do you feel it helped speed your recovery? Some say it just masks the pain, some say it's detrimental because the inflammation helps heal the joint, and others say it helps recovery by breaking the cycle of inflammation...

I had three rounds of cortisone shots. Felt good for a week. Quickly went away after that. Works for some, doesn't work for others.

I actually started bpc today. I half thought I was experiencing reduced pain shortly after pinning but I dunno. Could be in my head. Hopefully it keeps improving.

To inject I extend my injured arm out and across my body a little. Resting my forearm on my knees. Then i go in through the rear delt or just under it, getting as close to the infraspinatus tendon and rotator cuff as possible.

From my experience osta definitely helps joint issues. A lot. I ran a 6 week cycle at 20mgs and the tendinitis that I had for 6 months in my shoulder was almost completely gone. It also got rid of some soreness in my knees and elbows.

How old are you? Yes, if your T levels are suboptimal, ostarine can accelerate healing. That said, androgens have been shown to cause irregular healing with collagen laid down in a more pathologic fashion

I'm 31- I wasn't trying to say you were wrong, it was just my experience. I don't believe I have low t but I've never had it checked so I don't really know.

sorry to hear cortisone didn't help for long, did you do any resistance band exercises along with the injection? internal/external rotations and other cuff workouts using progressive resistance (therabands) help for labrum and rotator cuff injuries, sometimes it's bursitis, which the band exercises also help since it helps position the shoulder joint better, taking the pressure off the bursa.

sorry I didn't see your question OP, sometimes all you need is 1 injection AND some physical therapy. I swore I needed surgery, a MRI with contrast injected into my shoulder revealed a partially torn labrum, I got the injection and was good for a long time, I asked my orthopedist for a 2nd shot at 1 point, he told me to stop being a puss and do the exercises-(resistance bands) I worked with him for 3 years and consider him a good friend. He's also one of the best surgeons in NY. he had me avoid surgery when 2 other surgeons were ready to operate on me. cortisone is great imo, BUT an active guy will probably not get more than 1 or 2 injections, too much cortisone has been known to dry out the rotator cuff tendon, which of course can lead to the dreaded rotator cuff tear. only time I seen a person get scheduled shoulder injections was when the shoulder was fked so bad the patient needs a total shoulder replacement, but the patient isn't healthy enough to undergo surgery, imo give the shot a shot, do the exercises for rotator cuff injuries, and maybe take an anti inflammatory like advice or aleve, that's the sphiel you'll most likely get.

All I think about is with all that oil, how's your digestive system going to feel.

Did it stay healed after the osta? Or go back to normal when you got off? Why did you run osta with a shoulder injury? Was it to try and fix the joint or was your tendinitis not bad enough to prevent you from working out? Do you feel like the osta was suppressive enough that you had to wait for a while to run another cycle? PCT? How were your gains?

I'm seriously considering an osta cycle now, and PRP to jump start the healing process. And maybe I'll throw in some BPC 157 for good measure XD.

What does it mean for collagen to lay down in a pathologic fashion? (I did try and Google this)

I did re aggravate it about a month later. It wasn't bad enough that I couldn't lift, I just had to baby the sh!t out it. Part of the reason I ran it was to help with my shoulder. Osta was suppressive Imo but I had no sides other than a decrease in libido week 4. I would either pct, or bridge directly into a new cycle.

Gains wise i experience a fair amount of fat loss while gaining strength eating just under maintenance. When I use it again I will use it for a hard cut because I think it would perform really well.

Usually collagen is laid down in a parallel, sturdy fashion. Anabolics create a zig-zag effect that accelerates connective tissue healing but reduces maximum strength

I tried BPC157 and TB500, both work in their own way, TB for inflammation and BPC for healing. Ostarine absolutely helps with joint issues too.

Very much appreciate all the feedback guys. I've made up my mind to use this bottle of Ostarine I have instead of the BPC157. I also set up an appointment with a PRP specialist next week and will seriously consider jump starting my Osta cycle with a shot of PRP. I'll report back when all is said and done.

BPC-157 is legit. For injuries and pain, it absolutely trumps TB-500. Both can be useful but BPC-157 is much more potent and has great studies around it. There's a few threads on this board.

Let us know how the PRP works out for you, its pretty interesting. Good luck!

Went to the PRP specialist and he thinks I might have a rotator cuff tear, so instead he ordered a second MRI, this time with contrast. Now it's back to the waiting game again. If this MRI comes back positive I'm going in for surgery.

That sucks, sorry to hear. I think you should give BPC157 a try before going under the knife, theres been a lot of stories that guys have torn rotator cuffs to torn pecs and healed up nicely. I would stack BPC 157 with TB500 and Ostarine, that was my stack and loved every minute of it. I had various tears, clicks, injuries that all went away.
