I had gone out with a girlfriend of mine last week who dates a bouncer at a local club....he asked me if i wanted to be a female bouncer, I said no and laughed it off...tonight i went back and was offered the job by the owner...LOL

So i did the stupid thing.......I accepted.......to bad no one lives in RI, you could come see me bounce........LOL Should be interesting........ :rofl:

I was offered a job as a bouncer, but it was kind of a ghetto area and I didn't want to get stabbed for someone elses problem....catch my drift?? :D

OH I would drive a LONG way to see you bounce but that is just TOO far. :)

damnit, scotty2! you've got to change that avatar! If you don't, I'm going to have to buy a new laptop! Everytime I see that fat little mofo munching away and read the "yum, yum, eat-em up" sign, I start cracking up and practically drown my screen in spit! It always catches me by suprise, too! That's the worst part!!! (am I the only person on this board who thinks that's the most hilarious thing they've ever seen?? :think: )
 
just got off from doing that gig.great part time deal,good $ and i get to meet sooooo many honeys.no fights at this place so thats cool.used to bounce at palladium in nyc back in the day and after getting sliced{58 stiches} figured that was it.but florida is different type of people with a much more party mentality and no fighting.pays for my mass construction .
 
I'm obviously ignorant, but how does a girl like you [assuming that's you in your avatar] handle a 300 pound drunk guy or whatever? Do you study MAs or something?
 
my boy got man handled by a female bouncer at a local club..lol..he never lived it down. big jerry springer looking girl

Bouncings fun. I did it a long time ago in college at a place called Jillians in Cincinnati. Until I tore my MCL and had to rehab for 6 months (not from bouncing, from skiing).

It'd be fun to take a bunch of MDHT or M5AA then go to work.....I'd be looking to wreck somebody.
 
I used to work at a place that threw concerts once in a while. That **** was great cause we'd have to break up the mosh pits. Every once in a while they would host UFC events and that could get a little scary. We had to toss a whole dojo once. Good thing there was more of us.
 
Id love to be a bouncer, thing is
a)you get to watch people have fun all night-which is not fun
b)samoan gorillas can take multiple strikes to almost any organ and not feel it(genetic disposition)
 
I bounced for a few years and from my experience the girls were worse than the guys to toss out. In fact the hardest I ever got punched at work was by a girl who snuck up behind me while I was tossing out her boyfriend! There is just no reasoning with a pissed off drunk female, and as a man, it's not like I could handle them like I would a drunk guy. Good luck!
 
I look forward to it actually, I have enough to be pissed off about ( health wise) why not direct it on an idiot :) besides I can hold my own, element of shock!!!!!!!!!! I accept your challenge to a spar!!!!!!!!! heheheehhe
 
HBO has run a special about bouncers every once in a while...really interesting.Most of the guys interviewed are profesional, and that how they make there living.They have a totally different outlook on the job than most would think.The are not there to beat people up, but to prtect the patrons, and the establishment...the best ones no doubt could take care of themselves,(and anyone else for that matter), but took on the role as peacemakers more that guys thumping on the unruly.
 
I'll think you'll be great, now go kick some ass and bring back good stories to tell....be safe too though ;)

at first was anyone else thrown off after reading the subject?! sheesh must be getting late ;(.. but haha i must admit i saw "wranglergirl"... then saw "bouncing".... so yeah here i am in the thread ;)
 
I've been a club bouncer for 8 years, and I've worked with only 3 females in that time. One of them didn't do a damn thing, and the other one worked 4 nights and then got mangled and trampled in a fight. The 3rd one I worked with was used only for the purpose of busting girls in the bathroom for drugs... their boyfriends who buy/sell drugs through their girlfriends in the ladies room where they new the bouncers wouldnt go.

Just a word of advice... be careful... I've seen way too many people get hurt and been hurt way too many times myself. Tell them you only want to work the ladies room busting for drugs or escorting females out when needed. Good luck with it.

Heh, had to comment on this. There was a time when I was actively competing in the combat sports and maintaining real low weight (115 - 130... not to mention I'm 5'5") and I would occasionally do the security thing for extra cash. If you are halfway decent, tossing around a 300 # drunk guy was actually easier for me as a small guy because they never thought twice about me. I still have a few small buddies who work security at clubs and events, and they only step in when a real fight breaks out, leaving the intimidation part to baby huey.

Personally, if I see a midget with a headset, I'd steer clear of him because there has gotta be reason he was hired. Same goes for women.

Actually this is a very good point. According to the law the only time you should ever lay hands on people is to protect your patrons and/or property. We had a bouncer get assault charges pressed on him because he escorted a guy out after asking him to leave many times, and the guy was still being aggressive. A cop drove by as he was taking the guy out the front door ( and he wasn't being rough) but the guy got a scratch on his arm and the cop asked if he wanted to press charges. Over a freakin scratch! Anyway the bouncer got arrested and had to pay a fine. Granted the cop was a dick, but it happens. And that's not to mention the lawsuits!

This is all so true. Good bouncers treat the position as a career not I chance to get in fights. If you ever spend time in upscale establishments, this is all very obvious.
 
I bounce at a local club............... its fun but very annoying at times. Be careful. Be safe

Thanks I am not looking to get into fights, but all I am saying is I can hold my own....and crystal, I will def rely some stories, already have one good one!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the well wishes, see no one would ever think I would bounce, besides being tall, 5'11 thats it......I am not very scarey..........But i can give a hell of a front ball kick, and I can hit hard to.....( only if i have to )
 
I thought it was dinner....??? Sure get in line, seems i have aquired a stalker from the place and i need to kick his butt first!!!!!!!!

I've worked in a million different places, mostly the bigger clubs on Long Island like Mirage, Cyberia, Sahara, and in the hamptons at CPI, Turtle Bay, and Tavern, and a lot more places like the Swing Set, the Loft, China Club, Eclipse. I evenb lived in Italy for a little while and bounced in 2 places there as well.

But I'm retired now from it. I'm getting married in 7 months and my future wife hated it so much between the girls and the fights and worrying if I was ok. Plus I have a corporate day job so coming in the day after a fight looks really bad when your face is cut up as you're talking to the VP of the company. So I did it for 8 years and now I'm done. It was fun for the most part, but there were some incidents that I could've done without like getting stabbed 4 times and shot at. But it's behind me now... and I have more stories than anyone to tell about crazy things I've seen. The only thing I really miss about it now is the money I made, especially when I worked the front doors. I was averaging $4-500 a night and made as much as $800 in a single night. I'll definetely miss the money.
 
I am boucning for the first time tonight :) wish my luck...if you dont hear from me again, well than you know my first night was a BUST!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Portfolio.....bahahahaha I am a special ed teacher by day, part time coach for the special olympics, and part time bartender/bouncer now..........Nothing beautiful here, really
