BOSSMAN'S First supplement log on AM

Also, thanks to you all that showed concerns yesterday. I'm not gonna let this stop me . I will work around it somehow, if I feel as good as I do today compared to yesterday I will be back at it in no time.

Hoping for a fast and strong recovery!:)

So update today on shoulder issue, yesterday was absolutely horrible. I woke up yesterday and had some struggles. I could only lift my left arm maybe 4 inches away from my side. Some of the day to day things I couldn't accomplish were, I couldn't close the shower curtain (with that arm) had to use my good arm to raise my left arm just to wash and apply deodorant . Hell trying to put on a shirt. Couldn't lift a coffee, catch my drift?
Weird as hell, I could raise my arm about 4 inches away from my body, then I would have to assist it up with other hand. Once I got around the 90 degree area is when the pain started, the hollow and numbness also. Once you got through that and got the arm straight up and down, no pain. Used ibuprofen every 7 hours with ice and heat when I got home. Primary says inflamed bursa /bursitis.
This morning I have 75-85 % range of motion, no pain just stiffness. Obviously no training. Trying to get into orthopedic this evening for mri. Staying positive, probably could have gotten away with legs, core, and light cardio this morning so I'm not dying here.

That sounds like a nerve issue originating in your neck. Not funny at all. There are nerve gliding exercises on youtube, look them up. A visit to the doc could confirm it. I have some experience with that. If its a damaged nerve, all that docs can do is a conductivity test, that only confirms the damage. Vitamin B supplements, corticosteroids and time is what is standard procedure then. Anyway, I'm no doc, you'll need a proper diagnose first.

Yes sir I understand, makes me think though. Neck stinger 3 weeks ago put me out a week of training. Same side of shoulder. Primary yesterday was pretty much a waste of time. Earliest I can get seen by aorthopedic is 3/20 or 3/25. That's with 2 different docs. Took them both in case someone cancels they know to call me. Im feeling way WY better today 360 degree turnaround from yesterday "BUT" it's still there for sure.

Have you numbness in your fingers? Even though it resolves on its own, it can suddenly cause a nerve to rupture in your neck when exercising. Happened to me when doing lat pull downs 16 years ago. Paralyzed my left triceps for about a year -but pain was unbearable at times. In your case, only paralysis/numbness -no pain, could indicate a pinched/squeezed nerve. Look up nerve gliding, like this:

Hands and fingers are good. Got some burning going on up in that shoulder as we speak. This is dumb!!

Any Burning Sensation When You Urinate ??

As we do not know which nerve it is, you have to try all the glides...

When it gets difficult, you know what nerve it is.

No training today, day #3. Only 1 ibuprofen yesterday, none today. Feeling great for what it's worth. Range of motion is really good today. Lil clicking action from time to time , when I do the circular motion. Gonna go ahead with legs and core 3 or 4 times a week until I get into the ortho. Gonna keep nutrition the same as I stay pretty active even without my training. Gotta get this shoulder 100% before training . I have lawncare starting tomorrow in which I guess I will just BOSS tomorrow, gonna be a long day. But everything is definitely on the up and up compared to tuesday evening.

Yes, sounds like a supraspinatus tear...but NO pain? Wait....I see, yes pain at 90 degrees. Supraspinatus. That may take awhile AND a sh1tload of rotator exercises.

Hopefully it's just inflamed. I get this sometimes. Takes time for it to go away.
You need to hook him up with some proper lifts for shoulders and chest. He's not a spring chicken anymore!
Jeff Cavalier has some pretty good techniques. You just have to have time to watch his long ass vids.

To find out if it truly is supraspinatus:

Staying positive. ...gonna train lower body and core tomorrow like their are no shoulders issues. Legs and core could use some extra attention anyways.

Overcame it by watching almost ALL vids on it and doing all the rotator strengthening exercises eod. Took me about 5-6 month to fully heal, including use of BPC and whatnot. When he mentioned : lifting the coffee cup, THAT was the giveaway! You nailed it Studhorse .

I did this EOD. Takes about 20-30 minutes to do them all:

Did it on cables, PERFECT form is the key and starting with minimum weights.

Did all 5 exercises, top 2 no problem, bottom 3 no problem. Lil stiff...some clicking

That is GOOD news. Apparently NO tear. At least not a supraspinatus tear. My main symptom was, I could not lift up anything in an angle that was like the "heil Hitler" angle (for no better wording). Its slightly , a few degrees to the side. Also, when pulling down my T-shirt from chest down, after putting it on over the head, a sharp pain reminded me constantly of the tear.

In a good way, it's crazy comparing wendsday morning to right now. That's what got me staying so positive.

But let's keep it real, I wouldnt feel even close to comfortable to doing any shoulder exercises.
So I guess when I'm saying I feel good, it's a comparison to wendsday.
Opening day of lawncare for us tomorrow, so will be alot of movement. I feel confident enough to go out tomorrow, just gonna take it easy.
