Bolt's Overdue Training Log

Wow...interesting weekend. Not really in the mood to talk about it, but I'll just say it kept me busy :lol:

I did manage to hit a Buffet after Church yesterday...some steak, corn, baked potato, spinach, green beans and tomatoes made an awesome meal. I was beat so I took a nap and missed a meal(only got 4 in) so thats probably one of the only days I have missed a meal in awhile. Its all good I had a ton of carbs yesterday and could tell in the gym today.

April 25 Legs and Biceps
-Warmed up and Hack Squats but then felt really motivated to do Front Squats for some reason so I hit 1 RP set on the FS.
-Leg Curl 1 set RP
-Incline Curls 1 set RP
-Leg Extensions 1 set 50 reps
-Seated Preacher Curl FST-7
-Seated Calf 4 sets 8 reps
-I think I gave myself shin splints on friday from running so that was annoying but nowhere near bad.

April 27 Chest, Back, Triceps, and Shoulders
-T-Bar row 1 set RP
-Incline DB Press 1 set Drop x2, I wanted to do RP but shoulder was acting up so I didn't wanna stay at 85s. So I did drop sets. Idk why shoulder wasn't liking any pressing movements today :(
-Decline CGBP 1 straight set of 8
-Lateral Raises 1 set w/1 drop
-Seated Shoulder Press Machine FST-6
-Lat Pull FST-7
-Followed by some extreme stretching on all muscles used.​

On a side note I usually wear a long sleeve shirt of a full t when lifting so I haven't really been able to note shoulder or arm development and lots of the vascularity during my workouts for the longest time. I went sleevless the last two lifts and WOW. I have some good vascularity increases, muscle fullness is incredible to see, and my shoulders look more capped than I have ever remembered. It was nice to see some good progress :)

Also, I have been hit with some cool lifting ideas but I am gonna be pretty vague with my workout descriptions. Working on setting some of my own stuff up based on my knowledge of human phys and metabolism and work in the gym. Kinda wanna keep it secret as I test some theories out :cool:

Threw in a couple pics since I didn't update over the weekend...I will throw up different poses eventually as these are similar to the last one. I just think they show the shoulder development pretty well. I still don't think they do me much justice(especially quality not showing the vascularity) but these are taken a couple hours post-wo and I am pretty pleased. First is getting into the pose and second is fully flexed. I can't wait to get on Ultima and have some creatine in me! Hopefully it will even improve this muscle fullness :eek:

Yessir, very impressive Bolt. You continue to add to your development all the time.

Thanks man. I really don't have the best genetics for all this especially trying to stay lean. I will say though going incredibly hard in the gym no matter my program, eating nutrient dense and caloric dense foods, and sheer will has got me really far. O and maybe a couple supplements(not really they only help a little) :D

Honestly I have impressed myself this past year. I finally feel like I look like I lift all the time :P

On another note I will be adding Deadlifts in and squatting a lot more regularly this summer and along with some intense sport training I am looking forward to some good times.

O ya. I have been trying to hit squats at least once a week. Gonna try to hit them twice a week(front and back) with deadlifts as well..It has always treated me well and its time to do it again :D
 
good job bolt, doing a great job man! i'm starting up some HIIT wit my workouts as well. SUCKS! lol

Ha well look who it is....been way too long tool you better get back to hittin the iron hard :cool:
 
Sorry guys I have been studying for some finals(had one today and got one tomorrow) so I have not had a chance to update. The weekend should give me some time, even though I will still be studying, and I still got a brutal leg session in yesterday...Blueprint bottle is nearly empty so I will also put a 1 bottle review up shortly as well. :)
 
Alright here are some updates!

April 29 Legs and Biceps
-Squats 1 set RP
-SLDL 1 set RP
-Hammer Strength Machine Preacher Curl 1 set RP
-Hamstring Curl 1 set 50 reps
-Standing Calf 3 sets 12 reps
-Workout was intense...I hit some good weight on the squat. I can tell if I keep at it it'll shoot up again quickly. I want to be repping in the 300s again soon for multiple sets. My legs are still sore today(two days later).

May 1 Cardio
-Did about 15 minutes of varying intervals of sprints(Rest was twice as long as active sprint). Varied from 10 second sprints, up to 30 seconds.
-Went great but I don't think I drank enough water as I felt pretty crappy when I got home..​

Had an exam the past two days so I have been studying a lot and feeling pretty beat. I am not really stressed but it still takes a toll on me for some reason. I forced myself to do cardio today and that was worth it...

More updates and reviews coming this weekend I hope
 
Ahh studying is a pain. O well its the final stretch I can make it...The rain isn't helping though, I hate how dismal it looks outside and the forecast this week sucks.


May 2 Chest, Back, Triceps, and Shoulders

-Rack Chins 1 RP set
-DB Bench 1 RP set, added an extra rep :cool:
-Close Grip Bench 1 RP set
-Lateral Raise 2 sets 8 reps
-Triceps Push Down FST-7
-CCO FST-7
-Did some core work to finish up.

May 4 Legs and Biceps

-Hack Squats 2 sets 8 reps
-Leg Curls 2 sets 8 reps
-Incline Curl 2 sets 8 reps
-Seated Calf 4 sets 8 reps

Well I am still getting some pretty intense pumps in the gym on the FST-7s and my recovery is on point right now. Weight still sitting at 180lbs but I may be slowly recomping still. Muscles looking denser as well. No RP this week as I will be going "easier"(ha if thats what you wanna call it..) and prepping to hit it hard at home next week. I may be changing gyms when I go home(fam finally getting a full family membership and if they let me get in on that free I'll take that over paying right now) but I am still not sure if I want to leave the gym I have trained at for the past three years :(

Really want to get a blueprint review up based on the first bottle(I am loving this stuff). Will try when I get time but exams have priority over my life at the moment. I will say I had two extra pills in my first bottle so I said what the heck and took them before bed....should have set an alarm I got 10 hours of sleep and could have probably slept more if I hadn't randomly looked at the clock! Felt refreshed when I woke up tho..

Back looks a little "thicker" but my lats don't really seem to grow on these low rep schemes(haven't really been focusing on it though..). Some pull up work and more Rack Chins this summer should help tho!

Edit: I didn't note up there but only adding one rep on the bench may not seem like much but I am probably at a PR(need to check old log books). Also a bonus as shoulder feeling a lil achy(all this heavy work and bad weather) so getting more was def nice.

Thanks man! I really think holding this weight is great. Even just last year my body seemed to want to gravitate towards 165. Its still quite a struggle keeping weight moving at the moment but some good home cooking should fix that this summer :cool:

I also wish my camera was more quality because I believe my back definition is making me appear bigger as well. Which is good considering I am pretty lean at this weight :D
 
Yeah the back definition is notable..I was kinda liking your lighting there tho, the shadows are making you look ginormous! :D

My body loves the 165-170 range tho so its a battle just to keep from dropping back down to that :cool:

So exams are still working me hard right now...I over studied(better than understudying..) for my Human Metabolism Final and blew through it. I will be really upset if I miss more than 4 total points on that...

Also, spent all day yesterday reviewing Chemistry. Felt better at the end of the day than the beginning! Got a Nutrition final tomorrow...I don't even think I wills study I have an A in that class and have hardly even read my book(not to mention its the most anti supplement book ever...like they hate on EVERYTHING..so it makes me upset lol)...Just thought I'd update you all on that!

Got a new case for my new ipod so I was happy. Also, reading Angels and Demons again as I prepare for the movie! As well as a new book based on this story in the fall :eek:

It may also be boosting some sort of test because I am getting pimples on my arms as well as some breakout on shoulders and face(could be based on exam stress so I will note that the coming week). Also, next week I am gonna be using Ultima+trinitine! Probably picking up some XF ICE, Core ABC, and PP IBCAA as well to use interchangeably. :cool:

My calves and shoulders continue to lean out...so below is a pic of my calf to show the crazy vascularity I am getting(its kinda hard to tell with pic quality but it it runs straight down my leg and across my shin and splits a little more in other areas..). Also, some biceps pics as well to show peak and my inside development. These will probably be the last pics in awhile and I hope it just shows that I have made improvements even in the short time of this log. Hopefully it will prove I don't BS and I do make gains and I have a reasonable physique and don't just say crap that is fake on the net :)

PS My shirt says Football Hammer. It was an award for best Pancake Block my senior year. I have several other awards shirts and they are my favorite lifting shirts. Unfortunately they are too small so I had to cut the sleeves off and now I usually wear them underneath my Ts when I lift :cool:

yeah, academia misses the boat on supplementation & nutrition. there are sooo many ppl who think they know what they're talking about, just because they took a course or majored in nutrition..the sourcing of these materials kills me! :lol:

I know man...I love how one paragraph would talk about how there are these benefits from vitamins, then put in () that there is no real effects from supplements...THEN the very next paragraph talk about curing deficiencies of vitamins in Africa with a supplement :confused:

Ya man sorry that was kinda random. I just get the feeling sometimes there are people on these boards who sit there and make crap up about lifting blah blah, or being this weight at blank body fat %...idk I am not the most trusting of these people o well. A lot of the regulars are good and I am not talking about anyone in particular...its kinda just that way in real life people always acting larger than life nowadays :sigh:

O ya idk about that license lol...I do a good job of them looking bigger than they are :eek: People always wanna know my arm program like its something I emphasize :confused:

Well..........Its officially summer for me! :D

Was a very busy day, between a chemistry final, selling back my books, going to the gym, heading to the police station to recover stolen property, turn in rent money, and I still have to go to a couple grad cookouts and parties! :eek:

Needless to say diet is a little loose this weekend as a reward for all my hard studying and work ;)

Still have graduation tomorrow(no I am not graduating yet..) before I head home! Can't wait to hang out with family and friends tonight though.

May 8 Full Body
-Took it real easy today. Not gonna list all I did but I hit several things on several random exercises pretty much just chosen as I felt like it. I do this every couple months just as a break from a strict program. Hit some random things and got some ideas for new exercises :thumbsup:​

So I randomly had a package today of ICE and Core ABC...they don't carry ABC at nutra so sadly I had to order elsewhere.. :sad: It is the new flavor White Cherry so I look forward to using it and ICE at different times. I still have a couple of tubs of Intrabolic but I do not want something with Vit B or any electrolytes as I test Ultima+trinitine. I still may make the Intrabolic a post workout drink tho..

Ya man thanks! With summer finally here and a new gym along with my best training partner I plan to crank up some nice lifting and sport training! I can't wait.

Wow...busy day...I am beat time to go to bed and then fight traffic for graduation tomorrow...I am not complaining though its been great and I love being done for summer :D
 
Ok so I am finally settling in at home and should start putting up some more regular updates. I started Trinitine+Ultima on Sunday and had my first lift on them today..I will update that later because I am off to work again. :sigh:
 
Wow I have struggled to get this rolling again..between work and people wanting to chill being back from school I have been busy. Ha only have one lift in so far tho

May 12 Chest and Biceps

-Hit some good numbers on DB Bench. Strength on this is really impressive at the moment. I am definitely gonna crush some PRs soon.
-Got an intense pump all over with the added volume going into this week. Had a nice mental feeling despite no caffeine or stims pre-workout.
-Still feeling out the new gym, but I got some good things in store for the coming weeks.

Got one of my first lifting partners back for the summer. Got him on a diet plan as well so looks like its gonna be a good lifting summer. Weight is steadily above 180, but idk how my house scale relates to my scale at school but this will be my baseline for now. May be hard to gain weight with the amount of physical work I have and all my running and lifting, but I hope to get in better shape and cut some fat off.

New Supplement Notes:
Ultima- Did 1/2 scoop pre and 1/4 scoop peri. Held some of the liquid under my tongue as I drank the pre workout portion and will try some powder directly under tomorrow. Didn't add any of the extra flavoring, and while it didn't taste good it didn't really taste bad it was relatively neutral. Had a good mind muscle connection and good energy despite no caffeine.

ICE- Had 3 scoops peri with the Ultima. The ultima may have altered the taste a little so no real judgments on that. It did taste and smell remarkably similar to something I have drank before..I can't quite remember tho :confused:

Core ABC White Cherry- Wow...this stuff is amazing. I have had some while out on the job in between meals and its very very refreshing. Its not an overpowering flavor and not overly sweet but I really enjoy it. I only have been using 1 scoop per 20 oz of water tho so it may be stronger at other water levels.

Alright thats all I have to say for now...Can't wait to lift again tomorrow :D

May 14 Back and Rear Delts
-Working on width currently so I did some pull-ups and rack chins. Had some pretty good strength on these but pull ups should improve as I emphasize them.
-Some nice cable machines at my new gym so I did some good TUT and strong contractions on some of these machines.
-Got a pretty intense pump and vascularity was pretty high all over my arms.​

-Took some of my Ultima directly under the tongue today and it was pretty cool. I can tell I am still missing some caffeine pre workout, but I am getting some nice focus pre and during my lift.


Feeling great lately. Pretty much everyone I see lately give me comments on how I seem to have been hitting the weights lately and looking pretty big. So obviously I must be doing something right :cool: Ha...diet has me a little bloated the past couple days though. I have been eating a lot of calories and carbs lately, probably more than needed due to new supplies of foods I haven't had in awhile...

Hitting Tris and Shoulders tomorrow and hopefully a day off of work finally...

Things have still been going well. I have been feeling a little bloated lately, but thats probably the carbs and calories. I am pretty consistently hitting at least 4000 cals and almost 500g carbs. Needless to say muscle fullness, strength, an pumps are pretty intense right now.

May 15 Triceps and Shoulders
-Hit the same numbers as my personal best on Close Grip Bench, so hopefully I get a new PR next week :cool:
-Did some military press for the first time in awhile and it felt awkward at first, but got better after a couple warm-up sets.
-Got an intense pump in shoulders and tris with the last exercises of each muscle group.
-I was pretty sore from this the following day.

May 17 Legs
-Only did two sets of squats but took them pretty heavy and felt good.
-Did some light deadlifts but I hadn't done these in awhile so it took a good warm up to get the feel going.
-Legs were torched after several more exercises and I could feel the soreness even several hours later.
-This morning my legs have some intense DOMS​

About to head to the gym to do Chest and Biceps today...update later.

May 18 Chest and Biceps
-Well I am almost at some PRs. Hit 85s and 90s for several sets of DB bench, and felt really sturdy doing them. Very clean and controlled, gonna go for 95s next week and I don't think I have ever used them before :o
-Increased weight on Straight Bar Curls and added some reps on several other exercises.
-Found a cool new chest machine at the gym that I could really feel a good contraction on.
-Did CCO today and didn't like it but I still got a pretty good pump. I am gonna go back to doing the cable cross on a bench next week, I liked the feel of that much better.
-Brutal pumps tho in arms and chest today. Definitely looking more full(the trinitine is kicking in I believe)
Well weight is still hovering over 180lbs currently. Looking really full in all my muscle bellies and today I felt stronger and had better endurance. I took 3/4 scoop Ultima all pre workout today and none during. I don't like the feeling of Ultima in my mouth during a workout(hard to explain but its kind of weird sipping it during my lift) so I will stick with it all pre and ICE during.

Recovery is pretty good so far and I took shorter rest today and still had a better lift than last week.

Focus is also top notch. I think I am finally broken off of caffeine and truly feeling the Ultima kick in rather than just make up for lack of caffeine. Focus was good on the way to the gym and I had great vision while lifting. Still not the same as stims but I feel great so far. I think it is also improving my mood throughout the day...

Lastly, I think I may drop cals slightly(100-200 cals) because I am noticing a little accumulation of fat on the love handle/lower ab area. Its not huge but I don't like it and its definitely from the relaxed diet after exams + stress from exams finally piling on to me. O well I am adding cardio in this week in hopes to help that as well. Thats the only negative so far recently but with my strength and muscle fullness I am not feeling the need to totally just go into a dieting phase.

Digging the detail, and awesome progress! :)

Yep just some small changes. I am not really complaining tho because how I have felt in the gym has been pretty incredible.

Went for a run and mowed the lawn yesterday. Did about 15 minute sprint intervals around the neighborhood yesterday. It was a little rough as when I had been running at school I was on an indoor track...the sun beaming down on me was something I wasn't used to :eek: I need some sun tho I am pretty pale right now :sigh:

I dosed about 1/2 tsp Ultima right before running and it gave me a good mental buzz for a while after. Also, the other day I got an order of some other things and I am replacing AP with Glycobol and Bulk Corsolic acid for a month or two. Grabbed some ALCAR to dose 2x daily and some more Agmatine. Nutra hooked me up with another shirt as well :D

PS Heading to the gym later today as I have had work that I had to take care of interfering with my normal lifting schedule
 
Well needless to say I haven't updated in what feels like forever :o I have been really busy between my work picking up and making sure to lift and run between all my work. So I haven't had much time to update the log...I don't feel like typing every workout I have missed putting on here(5 or so lifts) but I here are some general updates.

Lifting:
Strength is still going up and training is pretty on point. I finally went for the 95s on flat DB Bench and feel I should still better that amount soon. I have really been hitting lats hard as well with some different exercises than normal and have even gotten back to actual T-bar rows with a barbell in a corner. Looking to switch up my lifting schedule as well as sets and reps next week so I'll update that when its time.

I will try and update again soon but this next week is extremely busy with work as well :(
 
May 30th Legs and Traps
-Hit up leg press superset with Smith Front Squats instead of just doing squats to start the workout.
-Had pretty intense pumps throughout the workout but powered through them and strength and endurance were great.
-Hit up several other supersets and finished off blasting my quads and hams.


Still haven't seen the scale drop below 180 since coming home..even at times when I have felt dehydrated.

Muscle fullness is great right now and my in the gym time has been great really enjoying it lately.
 
oooo dig the superset! ;) I bet you had an intense pump! :biglaugh:

Ya I have no idea why I even did it...I was leg pressing then I was like this isn't enough and needless to say i did three sets of both and it kicked off a brutal workout! :D
 
May 31 Chest and Biceps
-Well with the Supersets last week I feel I will continue throwing a superset in ever workout for the next several weeks.
-I hit the 95s for 5 reps on DB Bench! This is a PR and the most I have ever touched was 100s for 2 reps once(too heavy when I tried that a couple months ago)
-Got a great pump and hit some good numbers on everything.

June 2 Back
-Started some good wide grip pull ups(they aren't bothering my shoulder much lately)
-Still focusing on Lats over back thickness and threw in a superset with some Rows and Lat Pull overs.

-I think weight is down a lb or two but I am still hovering just above 180. Doing more running and eating some good food. On kind of a brown rice binge eating a lot of it. Haven't had some in awhile and its a good change up. Also finally had some pork which I haven't had in a while. Its time to make some steak soon tho... ;)
 
June 3 Triceps and Shoulders
-Kept with the superset theme and did some pretty good ones on shoulders.
-Even with how much I dislike flat benching, I am hitting some pretty good numbers for myself on Close Grip Bench.
-Feeling a good mind to muscle connection lately, really could feel it on lateral shoulder raises.

June 6 Legs
-I was mad I went to the gym and my dad was there wearing the same color orange UA shirt I was :worried:
-Crushed my legs, started with squats again this week.
-Hit up a nasty Romanian DL, Walking Lunge, and Smith Squat superset.
-Finished off with some pump sets on hams and quads and my workout partner and I were fried. Didn't want to even move at the end of all this

-Had to take two days off in between those two workouts because of work :rant: I have been working a lot lately, but I can't complain its better than no work and I am making a ton of money(based on my standards) atm ;)

June 7 Chest and Biceps
-I hit 4 reps on 100lb DBs for flat bench! I hit 5 on 95 and they felt really good so I felt the need to push it. I got help on the 4th rep but I had never even picked up the 100s before :eek:
-Vascularity was incredible throughout the workout and I had an incredible pump raging all workout.
-Supersets had me feeling crazy and this workout was incredible. I was impressed with my strength despite the supersets :cool:

-Was really impressed with this last workout. I felt incredible and really think the effects of Trinitine are kicking in hard. Feeling great, but I am sad I am almost out of Ultima and the final is not out yet :sad:

-Went for a run yesterday and destroyed myself with some sprints. Felt good but I still really need to work on my endurance, its slowly improving..
