Blood Tests In - Please Help!!!

Gents,

I just turned 30 and have been suffering from ED for at least 5 to 6 years now. Finally got some blood tests done and here are the results:

LH: 3 IU/L (normal range of 2 - 9)
FSH: 3 IU/L (normal range of 2 - 12)
Prolactin: 19 (normal range <18)
Free Testosterone: 418 pmol/L (normal range of 196 - 636)

The doc wants to send me for an MRI scan for hyperprolactinemia. He's also setting me up with an endocrinologist, but I'm looking at a 2 month wait for sure. My questions are:

1) Based on those blood tests, do you guys think the high prolactin and low LH / FSH could be at the heart of the problem? My gut says yes
2) I bought some HCGenerate ES and was planning to use it for ~8 weeks until I see the endocrinologist. Do you think that's a good idea or am I better off just waiting to see the doc
3) Are there any supplements out there you guys would recommend in place of HCGenerate ES that would be worth giving a shot until I see the doc?

Thanks so much guys. I'm upset about the waiting time but at the same time kind of happy b/c I think I'm finally realizing the cause of this was a damn hormonal issue.

Letrozole will Definitely destroy the prolactin buildup within 1-2 weeks, but Honestly 19 doesn't seem to be that much outside of the normal range. I would definitely try running letro for a bit, followed by some sort of natural test booster like DHEA or something alongside of those lines, to see how the combination effects your ED... In the short term, most AIs can hurt libido initially, so don't let that initial lethargy effect your use.

Thanks, did a bit of reading on letrozole and sounds like it could be more useful for something like on-cycle estrogen destruction. I feel like maybe it could be too harsh for my purpose.....

What about something like Inhibit-P? Perhaps stacking it with another good libido booster? I really thought a prolactin of 19 was not good considering my age....if this isn't the root of the problem I seriously don't know what to do :(

Yeah, agreed on the free test. I'm really hopeful that some tweaks could be helpful. Some of the things I've started to do are:

1) Changed my diet to increase healthy carbs, fats and cholesterol
- coconut oil, sweet potatoes, fruits, eggs, drinking a gallon of water daily (was pretty bad at this in the past)

2) Supplementing with vitamin D (3000 IU) and selenium daily

3) Already in good shape (been hitting the gym 5 days a week for years)

4) Will be starting to supplement with the cittruline, pycnogenol and raw cocoa combo for bloodflow

5) Started taking vigrx daily (pretty low dose of stuff across the board)

HCGenerate ES was going to be the new big addition to the mix. Looking at the ingredients it looks like it can pack a powerful punch.....plus it also has the mucuna pruriens which I understand to be anti-prolactin. Just afraid I might be overdoing it with this but was thinking of trying it for 8 weeks to see what happens.....

Any thoughts on whether the HCG ES is a good addition or if there is something better out there I should try? Money isn't a huge concern I just wanna get this fixed

I would definitely try some Inhibit P
Your level is just a little on the high side but not that bad

Inhibit p at 1 cap doubled my semen volume. No joke. I've never seen anything like it. I'm about to start dosing 2 caps I'm a little scared lol

if you want to have accurate answers from the endo, bring him an honest blood test, meaning no doping whats so ever. 2 months seems long but, why would you try to artificially change something prior to having the specialist look at the problem.. he might say your "good to go, no need to change anything". so you come off the supplement and the problem may still be present and possibly worse? who knows.. I myself would wait until the endo gets a good baseline reading before tweaking anything, and at least see what he thinks first.

I hear ya...I'm just worried he's gonna probably order another set of blood tests which will take another 2 months to see him again......or he will be one of those ultra conservative docs and tell me nothing is wrong...even though I'm hitting a frigging 19 on the prolactin scale.....deep down I know you're probably right though but 2 months is such a pain :(

My doctor did a second blood test to confirm the high prolactin. This has come in at 20 which is above the top end of 18 (it was 19 last time, 20 this time). He wants me to get an MRI done now too. I am actually hoping this is the root cause of the problem. Had a gorgeous girl on my bed last night and I just couldn't get it hard long enough (even with a viagra in me).

Do you guys know what a more normal level of prolactin is? At age 30, would most guys be in the under 10 range? Also, have you heard of guys being prescribed Cabergoline / dostinex for even a mildly elevated level like this? Thanks everyone...going through some tough times here...

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm mid cycle, having ridiculous gyno issues, high prolactin buildup, and last night I got it up perfectly fine...
Honestly I would wait for the doctor's results, or go for broke and pick up Letro... I wouldn't halfass this and just get an OTC AI, because that is like putting a bandaid on a sucking chest wound...

Damn got my bio available testosterone results back today....4.2 nmol/L....range is 1.6 - 13.2

I just turned 30!

Mildly elevated prolactin and low bio test cannot be good...I hope there is a solution to this

Good luck bro.. I'd get the MRI done for now if you have to wait a while to see an endo.

Thanks brother. Yeah endo appointment is set for late Feb. In the meantime, the doc told me to get off all supplements except for vit D which I've done. I also setup an appointment in late Jan with another consultant. Gotta pay out of pocket for that but he's gonna run his own series of blood tests and let me know what he thinks. Apparently the dude is really good at what he does.

There are a few common culprits for ed, Estrogen, Prolactin and finally as volvo touched base on psychological. If you have the first two in check then it has to be mental. Im sure most have been there once or twice if your thinking about it forget it you will continue to have ed over and over. With that being established Inhibit-P should take care of the prolactin issue. So if you are already going into a "session" hoping everything will work then its gonna fail 95% of the time. So get the prolactin taken care of then you have nothing to think about other than having some fun with the girl your with.

I'd suggest using privatemdlabs dot com for some of your bloodwork. Order the female hormone panel. For $65 you get CBC, FSH, LH, TT and E2. Do this as early in the morning as possible (8 AM). Bring the results with you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will be curious to hear what the doc says. If they don't give me anything useful I'll just resort to cycling the natty test boosters
