Exactly my point of the blog. Otherwise I'd just forget Everything hehe.
Today:
Self defense techniques vs. a wild right hook:
-To take down-duck, pull on his hips while stepping forward and pushing w/ your head.
-To standing choke (arm inside)-duck under punching arm, put your nearest arm up his armpit and over to his neck. Either connect that hand to your other hands bicep while your other hand's gripping the back of your head or just do any grip. From here you can take him down too. Maintain Balance.
Techniques:
Sweep from de la riva guard- De la riva guard = your arms grabbing his sleeves/wrist, your left leg outside and twisting into and hooking into his thigh; your right leg on his hip.
-From the position, scoot a bit to the left and your left hand grabs his ankle. You now simultaneously pull with your right arm on his left arm while your right leg pushes his left leg backwards and sweep to the right. If he drops to one knee, push that knee out w/ your leg. If he tries to stack, flip him over you w/ any butterfly type sweep.
To pass the de la riva guard, try to get the leg on your hip in to go near his other leg or get your left arm out of his control, spin and go for straight knee bar.
Notes:
Rolled w/ just one guy today a 5 striped white belt. Nobody tapped nobody. Many positions were established and lost. Got swept a few times, escaped a few times. Couldn't finish when I landed in cross side several times. Went north-south, couldn't finish the kimura (practice this...)Pretty even.
Supplements:
Pre - NO pills, energy drink (small,) 11.5g BCAAs
Post - 11.5g+ BCAAs, Chinese food combo hehehe
