You want to get the BioCell Collagen 2 version, as its the most bioavailable form of it. Otherwise, not much gets absorbed. You're supposed to frontload at 6 caps a day for a week or two, during this time I noticed the skin on my face looked smoother, especially my lips. Not that Im going for the pouty lips look or anything:) - but it was interesting.

BV

I went ahead and ordered a few bottles of the hyaluronic acid to try. I figured it would likely be a good addition to my "everything but the kitchen sink" joint care stack I'm using, including glucosamine, chondritin, MSM, cissus, celadrin and high potency fish oil all alongside shoulder dislocate stretches, rotator cuff work and foam rolling. If that doesn't help my shoulder heal up then I give up!

Will do BV. I've already noticed some major improvements in shoulder pain and mobility from the above protocol, but chest pressing movements still tend to aggravate my shoulder quite badly. Do to my compulsive nature I have a hard time giving myself an extended amount of time off to allow for full healing, but that may be the necessary next step in order to really heal this up. I've been seriously considering ART therapy as well, as I have a certain amount of coverage through my work health plan. I have a set of powerhooks on the way, as I find that positioning the dumbbells into place tends to be the part that bothers my shoulder the most when lifting.

This is a long standing shoulder injury that tends to flare up for months at a time, and stems back from my younger days from an excessive amount of throwing sports.

Is it the rotator cuff? I had a hell of a time with impingement in both shoulders, still flares up if I dont watch it and it took FOREVER to heal. I did not get ART though, should have and I will if it ever gets worse.

I don't know what the exact nature of the problem is, whether it's a rotator cuff problem or ac joint. I do suffer from some impingement myself as well. My right shoulder is positioned much higher and farther forward than what my left shoulder is. Whether this is because of adhesions of scar tissue or what I'm not exactly certain.

Foam rolling has felt absolutely great after I finish performing it, but absolutely excruciating at times during. It's a strange sensation when you feel an adhesion let go, it's preceeded by serious pain and followed by what feels like a ripple effect in the muscle/connective tissue. I haven't quite been able to achieve that with either shoulder, but I'm working on it.
