BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

Well, no T-Bol log for everyone...Thermolife doesn't advertise here (I didn't even realize that) so it was deleted. Oh well, I'll come back and let you guys know my experience with it.

:( that sux

Snag, what sort of stims do you take to combat the lethargy from the low carb diet? I'm dragging arse right now... I have a cup of coffee in the morning but, by afternoon I am wiped out and craving some carbs.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask about the formadrol I believe you said you were taking. Is it from LG? Does that have a low dose ATD in it with some other AI?

Shit, I just got in and saw this? Is 1,4,6-Androstatrien-3,17-dione (ATD) the same as 1,4,6 Etioallocholan-Dion? Need some help here guys.. to my knowledge Formadrol is not on the NPC ban list..

Brother, this ain't low carbs to me, hahaa.. you forget I lived keto for 4 yrs, carbing up every once in awhile only..
Aside from my Recreate, and the Jacked, (and my java and the caffeine in my Leucine XT), that's all I got going on. Most of that is done in the morning aside from my afternoon dose of Recreate. I have no low-energy going on; in fact, I'm still wired at night. Kinda wondering how this Methyl Lean/Ripped is gonna treat me when I switch to that; the original plan was to drop Recreate at that point (final 21 days), but I'm reluctant to.. I love my Recreate!

Pics from this morning, and one from here a bit ago the wife took..

Are you just looking for an AI? Are the bromo compounds banned? Also,do you know the caffeine content in recreate?

Ah that blows man.
Yes it does.. haven't been on it long enough to cause any issues I don't believe, but it is a shock. I looked at the ban list and didn't see that product specified, it never entered my mind that it was ATD.. I guess I'm showing where my chemical knowledge is still lagging..

Pics look fabulous Snag!! You are looking close bubba...the details are really coming out now.

Dude, how do you get so dry so quick?! I'm obviously not saying you look like you do simply because of your genetics...but dude, you were made for bodybuilding.

I'm assuming T-911 is banned too, then. I'd recommend that if it was allowed.

I think you'd like PCT-Assist by CEL with some Activate Extreme by DS. If those are legal, I'd highly recommend combining those two. I highly doubt anything in those is banned. Trans-res is the only thing that would really lead me to question, but heck, that's in wine. You could just say you're a huge wino. Hahah.

Aha.. genetics play a part for sure. Right now I've got fat content extremely low, carbs are probably gonna go higher here for awhile, drop protein a bit..
But I want to be drier! I'm nowhere near where I wanna be bro.

 Thx for that!

That's funny. I'm actually fixing my diet up the same way right now. I'm bumping carbs up and dropping the fats a good bit.

Wow, that's alot of caffeine right there. One cup of coffee is about 80 mg...that's my daily intake. Guess I need to pick it up here. I also don't know if the bromo compounds are banned Snag.

I'm a stim, or for that matter, a supplement virgin compared to most around here.

I agree Snag. I'm like the fat kid in a candy store:bigeyes2:

Yeah it's amazing what some changes can do. I'm considering running a higher carb-to-protein ratio, low fats (@ 30g/day) for awhile, be interesting to see what that does..
Haven't done my coconut oil in awhile now, that was one of the first things to go.. I miss it! But when I pump the fats back up & shift things around again, there should be some dramatic changes happening!

My diet that I lost a lot of weight on was low carb/ low fat / high protein. That was good for long-duration fat loss (when you have a lot to lose), but for a body recomp I don't think it would work too great.

Looking to see how this low fat approach works for you Snag as thats what I do, all I see is people jumping on the high fat low carb diets.. I would die if I was on that.

probably not.. you'd want to have something along with that protein.
A higher fat/hi protein/low carb works well (as I think you've been doing) for recomp.
It all really depends on where you're at with your physique & metabolism.
But it sure is fun tweaking things and seeing instant results!

I did real good for a while, but then I started to get super-hunger cravings. I was told Recreate was appetite-suppressive, but man, my appetite has been REAL high recently. I don't mind that, though. I didn't want the appetite suppression anyways.

Recreate does have appetite suppressant qualities, but it also allows you to not do a crash diet, yet still lose weight & burn fat. I notice that I can eat more when I'm running it and still tighten up. Love it!
This log so far, I've really kept the cals up higher that I normally do when I'm trying to make quick changes. I really feel I'm using everything I've got at my disposal to full capacities right now, pushing things well.
Having a blast!

Ha yeah, I usually don't get cravings, just don't put some donuts or cookies in my face.

Oh man, my wife and daughter were baking chocolate chip cookies the other night...I had to leave the house!!

Hey Snag, can you post a recipe for some lean chilli? I'll be using lean ground turkey, because that 97% fat free ground beef tastes like hell to me. I'm looking to cook my next bulk batch of food. I like the way chilli powder and japalenos sound.
Better catch this one before I forget..
Here's how me & the wife make ours:

1lb beef (96% currently, 90% at other times)
1-2 cans kidney beans (I like 1 can of spicy and 1 can of dark red)
1 large banana pepper
1 decent-sized jalepeno pepper
1 large red onion
1 can Red Gold tomato juice

Cook the beef (or turkey in your case) in a skillet while you're putting everything else together. Throw in some big slices of onion & some of the peppers with the meat, cook together. Throw everything else in the crock pot. Then when the meat's browned, throw that in there, cook on low for 4hrs (or high for 2hrs - the longer you cook seems to bring out the flavor better).
If I had my way, I'd also have some cayenne pepper in there, but the wife can barely tolerate the way we make it as it is (she's not into all my veggies).

That's it dude. Pretty simple. The whole enchilada with the lean beef was 1150cals, 125/120/20 c-p-f. (we only used 1 can of beans last night)

I ate half of it! :p

Hahaa, thanks Jak!
I'll be sitting down this w/e and deciding if this is gonna happen. If I can find the right show with the right timing (..and be able to coerce the 'other half' into being cool with it).. I'd say it's a pretty good shot of going down.
Besides, I already asked Jacob for the USP supply to kick things up another notch.. pretty sure he'd want me to showcase his investment! :D

Yeah me too. Never have I pushed the diet in quite this direction before.
High fat/low carb (keto) diets w/ strategic carb meals do work wonders; ketosis is a legitimate way to lose weight for sure.
But again - when you have AP and Recreate and everything else to work with .. why bother with keto? I want to keep as much of my muscle as I can!

Ha yeah.. with low carb/high fat diets the only thing I lost was muscle.
Oh and good news, I MIGHT be getting some AP.

Snag, how do you actually use your Bev Int. Ultra Size? Do you use that as your main source of protein powder, or do you use it in some other manner? At $34, 35 servings of 17g P/serving, it just doesn't seem too cost effective.

I fully agree - this is the beauty of the combo

Try metabolic type testing yourself.

Try this link - it does try and pimp products but it is helpfull:

Nah, not my main powder source, I pick my spots & use it in blends.
Not using it much these days; I've switched my primary powder source to Muscle Provider (Bev) and ProComplex, for their lower fat content.
I did use the MonsterMilk for breakfast/PWO this morning, which has 4.5g f per scoop; probably will drop that as well as I slim fat even further..
But Ultra Size is no joke bro; best protein out there for growth imo.

I'll do that! With the exception of the beans, I like my chilli Texas style, all meat.

I just took an in depth look at the nutritional values of kidney beans, I change my mind on the Texas style, kidney beans are too healthy to pass up. I appreciate it Snag.

:usa:

Haha! Glad the recipe's are still being useful..

Day #29 Abs/Cardio

FT format, 10min abs (various exercises/angles), 33min steady-state cardio on the treadmill. I used the 3 speed setting thruout; the only thing I changed was the incline, starting at 1 and increasing a level every 3 minutes until I hit 7 (18min mark), then began descent at 21min and dropped a level every 2min till the end. HR at various times seemed to be fairly steady, measuring between 160-175 thruout (if this is accurate).
The sweat was profuse; had on an under-armour shirt and 2 sweatshirts over that, 2 pairs of sweats. I was dripping! Watched some Australian Open action during.. I'm starting to dig the treadmill! :D

So as mentioned Formadrol went away yesterday. I've been using DIM, and now I'll add Resveratrol to the mix, based on a couple ppl recommending. Some all natty anti-E going on; I'm hopeful of the combo's effects..

Gonna try that recipe up there...thanks!
