Hi,
I am what you would call a very hard gainer. I am 36 years-old and have weighed between 180 and 190 for probably 15 years. As I've gotten older and am now raising children, I have found it much more difficult to dedicate myself to spending time the time in the gym necessary to get the lean weight back I had gained in my mid to late 20s (max weight was about 195). Also, as I've aged I have decided to stay away from creatine, but have continued to supplement whey into my diet. Around November of last year I was experimenting with a new diet of about 6 smaller meals throughout the day with about 3 protein shakes within 3 of those meals. It was working very well and I was seeing some nice gains until Christmas rolled around, messed up my routine, and I've yet to recover. In the past I always would go with Optimum Nutrition Whey (10 lb. bag) beacause I figured I was getting a reliable product at a good price ($50 - $60). However, now it seems that the ON whey has shot up the most in price and with the economy on shaky ground, I find it hard to seperate with that kind of money ever 2 1/2 or 3 months if I can find a product that will work just as well for less money. Can anyone reccomend a quality whey at a more competitive price? Thanks a bunch for any help.
