Best Ways To Prevent/Cure a Hangover?!!?!?

Has anybody tried no hang? I bought one and am planning on taking it for a test drive on new years eve.

I tried that a while back, they sell it at the counter usually in a lot of vitamin stores. Honestly didn't notice much of a difference. But def let us know how it goes with you.

'WOW'.......I really se wonder a new thread. but i have need more information regading same......Please provide some infomation regading same........Thanks....

I really need to share this with you guys.

I always got horrible hangovers but try this...

stay up if you can and while letting some of it wear off eat a bag of light popcorn (regular might be fine ha)... Make sure to get a brand that is loaded with sodium and potassium. The electrolyte overload and carbs help so much, also I drink a pitcher (80-90oz) of water. you can add pickles to this if you like. Basically the potassium in the popcorn and salt are just great. It's simple but it's been a life saver for me.

Watery fruit before you go to sleep. Oranges, strawberries, etc. All the urination whacks your electrolytes so the fruit is way better than water.

But knowing the crowd here nobody would dare touch some fruit.

True that, wtf is fruit. Give me some chicken breast and broccoli any day :P

I always eat a big meal full of carbs before i drink if i know im getting wasted, then when i get home i eat whatever and drink a ton of water, and usually i wake up with no hangover.

But heres the other end of the spectrum, lets say you get a little too tipsy and dont remember to drink a ton of water when you get home or just straight up pass out. What in the morning is the best route to take to get rid of the hangover quickly. Ive tried a lot of rehydrating and eating but some hangovers you just can;t budge, any secretts?

You can thank me later

Take 3-5 caps of milk thistle (silymarin) and drink some water before bed. There's a good chance you'll wake up feeling perfectly normal (or almost so).

I think the kind with dandelion root in it works even better. Funny that this hasn't yet turned up in this 8-page thread when many of you no doubt have it in your supp cupboard.

Anything new out there?

taking 2-3 ibprofien before bed has shown to help fight hangovers

and you can also try drinking pedialyte throughout the night. It's basically an electrolyte formula for infants/young kids that they are supposed to drink when they are having diarrhea or vomiting due to the loss of fluids.

Pedialyte, or the cvs equivalent, works pretty well. But, when you are really dehydrated you can taste those electrolytes and its like drinking salty grape/orange/bubblegum juice. Worth it but still.

pedialyte is worth $5?

lol? it has 253mg of sodium and 193mg of potassium.

a glass of milk has a better nutritional/electrolyte profile

More like -

Chlorine - 293.82mg
Potassium - 183.3mg
Sodium - 243.8mg
Zinc - 60.5 mg

and less overall calories....and milk would be the last thing I would want in my stomach after a night of heavy drinking even though it does have a superior nutritional/electrolyte profile....it also has lactose

Seriously though guys this isn't rocket science. Water and Ibuprofen before bed. Or when you get home don't go to bed right away. Just stay up and drink water for an hour or two and sober up.

less overall calories? seriously? you're worried about 80 calories in a glass of milk?

the whole damn thing is ridiculous and a moot point. we're talking about negligible amounts of nutrients in either milk or pedialyte. i was pointing out how insane the makers of pedialyte are, but more so, how uninformed most consumers are. and why would milk be the last thing you'd want after a night of drinking? milk has been a remedy for upset stomach for decades.

either way, dehydration is the #1 cause of a hangover.

coconut WATER is what you want not the milk. and btw its amazing. I drink 8 oz of it before i fall asleep whenever I drink. A aleve in the morning for a w/e slight headache I might have and Im fine.

coconut water has natural electrolytes too, so no need to guzzle down any sugar sports drinks that prob make you feel worse in the morning

I really don't recommend it but when i was a drinker best thing for one 1 is to wake up and drink a bloody-mary.
Might be the tomatoe juice but more then likey the vodca.

Take a scoop of your stimmed-out pre workout formula and mix it with about 1.5-2 shots of vodka. You will be out of bed and ready for a breakfast burrito in about 10-15 minutes.

I will be waiting for your reps.......

IVY Anti Hangover Shot from the Feel Good Factory works a charm... don't know what availability is like in other countries but I am sure they are releasing worldwide soon.

Planning a week long trip where I'm going to try and drink every night. What supplements will keep me going. I'm looking to have no hangover, no body/headaches, no stomach problems.

I am a HUGE believer in the Burrito and ass loads of water before going to bed. If you are still feeling beligerently drunk, try going for a jog or wrestling one of your friends to sober up.

Best way ive found recently is just chug water and eat something before bed im experimenting now also with drinking 5g bcaa before i go out and 5g bcaa before i go to bed to see if that has any affect the biggest factor of a hangover is dehyrdation so just cover that the night before and your all set.

I followed none of these tips on Saturday and had one of those never drinking again hangovers for the first time in 6 years.

I would recommend a supplement called Lifeline Hangover Defense containing vitamins, minerals and activated charcoal. Tried and tested on a group of lads on an 18-30s holiday!

2 things work.

1. Drinking more often and getting used to it.
2. Electrolytes like accelerade or nuun and tums before bed.

I'm getting loaded this Friday so I'm going to see if chasers can live up to the hype I gave them earlier in the thread.

although some have suggested that a hangover is the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal, thus some more alcohol the following morning is supposed to ease the symptoms

Chasers worked again for me, you still sleep like **** so you are tired as hell when you wake up. But separating the hang over feeling from the lack of sleep feels much better.
