Best training split..?

During my cut I was training PPL twice a week Mon-Sat with Sundays off, I enjoy this as I can’t wait to get into the gym each morning.

In a week I will be starting a lean bulk - 200 cals over maintenance, on M Test, PA XT and Prime XT.

There were weeks now and again where I could only train 5 x per week due to work commitments etc.

My question is, does anyone have any opinions on a better 6 day split than what I have been doing? Any body parts that in your experience need to be trained more or less frequently than 2 x per week?

If I know I can only train 5 x per week, what split should I do then?

Thanks in advance

I always say the best split it's going to be the one you can progress at for the longest period of time. So you've got a like doing it, and want to do it, and be able to add pounds or reps to the bar regardless of the type of routine you pick.

I'm a big ppl guy. If training 5 days per week I'd still just follow the ppl and stay in rotation.

P.P.L.P.P
L.P.P.L.P
P.L.P.P.L

If your trying to grow I suggest a 4 or 5 day. You grow outside of the gym not inside the gym and while you do need to train hard and train often an extra rest day and a little more food will help you grow better than training 6 days a week. I'm currently on a 4-day split with a bench day and push accessories, a deadlift day and pull accessories, then the next rotation I do chest shoulders triceps, back legs and biceps.

Thanks Smont 👍🏼

I think it’s since I’ve recovered from a bad illness that I just can’t wait to get in the gym and 1 day off seems too much sometimes 😂 I now have a natural thirst to train and train hard at that.

5 days may be a better option as I do want to grow over the next 8 or so months

Another option is Upper, Lower, P, P, L
Just tack the rest days in where needed, usually on either or both sides of the upper lower split. I personally like P,P,L in an asynchronous rotation... pretty much the way smont laid out.
