You're Never Alone - Hatebreed

Just had to add this one to the list. Hatebreed is awesome, all of their **** is motivational.
Good choice. This song and "I will be heard" always get my blood pumping.

ANYTHING by Machine Head.

My top workout would be The Blood, The Sweat, and the Tears, off of Burning Red.

I usually start off with a few tracks from the new Disturbed cd, then a few from the most recent Mudvayne album. I recently got a hold of the SAW II soundtrack, and I'll tell ya, if you like some harder stuff, it def. keeps the rage going.

Course, I like music in general when I'm working out. My gym plays some pretty shitty music.

guys i really like this harder type of rock, any links that you guys can direct me to? Otherwise the only songs I know are the ones you guys listed!

Personally I'm more of a rap (techno also) type of a guy, but this music is different and I like the change.

I listen to Hip-hop (yeah, I know, I'm white).

One of my favs. is Eminem's remake of Aerosmith's Dreamweaver (I forget the new name).

I also like Lil' Jon and Tha Eastside Boyz and some of DMX's old stuff. The new **** he puts out is garbage.

How about Jay-Z's Welcome to New York City.

Hey Jmh80

There is nothing wrong with a white boy listening to Hip Hop.

I need Rap/Hip Hop to pump that weight and go the distance in the gym.

Here are the songs that get me going in the gym:

DMX..........Party Up
DMX..........X gonna give it to you
DMX..........Ruffryders Anthem
50cent.......In Da club
Eminem.......Loose Yourself
Kanye West.......Jesus Walk
LL Cool J......Head Sprung
David Banner.......Like a Pimp
LLoyd Banks.........On Fire
Bone Crusher.......Never Scared
Joe Budden........Pump it Up
Lil John............Throw it Up
Lil John.........I don't give a "F"
George Thorogood.....Bad to the Bone
NAS.....Hate Me Now
Nelly......Number one
R. Kelly......World Greatest
R. Kelly......Dream I can Fly
Black Eye Peas......Let get it started

I have these songs on a couple of CD that I burned. These songs really get me in the zone and throwing the weight around in the gym. :afro:

Now I know lyrics are great and can tipify any mood or explain your emotions but some of the best songs to evoke pure emotion are classical. Conan the barbarian has one of the best classical pump me up sound tracks lots of building to the epic climax, songs like "anvil of crom." Apparently classical music activates more of your brain due to the fact it has no repeating parts in the music so your brains screen saver wont kick on hehe . but then again were talking about training so you can also bang your head against the wall repeatedly and get huge to the beat your skull makes on the concrete. For me music is the sound track to the thoughts I have before i lift I think about destroying the weights and visualize myself blowing through it. Good music helps but is nothing compared to great mental preparation. Try lifting to really good classical music I feel more like an animal than listening to rap or even metal which in my opinion can be really good but still gets obnoxious. The most tense and touching scenes in any great movie always have classical music cause it allows more mental involvement which is always necessary in a great workout. Classical music is like a empty drawing board where your own thoughts are the lyrics and you listen to your own story and your not railroaded into someone elses thoughts, I do love lots of other music but i was surprized how it made me feel to listen to classical when working out. Im not talking about love ballads and prancing around, i mean really crazy music that makes you think your training to kill or music that you would listen to if you were a gladiator. Primal human instincs lift or be killed mentality. GRRRRRR lol
