I also live in Canada and have yet to get anything seized by the boarder ( cross's fingers )
But I would try taking anything over that has DHEA in it as it will most defenitly get seized if they look at it.

In terms of being concerned- well I would just like to know what my options are for products that are availabe. I am not interested in customs or health canada keeping my order.

Well like i said in my origional post..
Most products will get through unless it contains DHEA as it is scheduled in Canada.
Also you may get some hormone related products confiscated. IE superdrol, pheraplex not because they are schedualed but just because of health Canada advisories.
Now i hope that helped you somewhat on making your decision, its too bad you couldnt be more specific on which "muscle growth" supplements you are specifically looking into purchasing.

How can this be answered? Anything non hormonal will pass 100% the border.
