best supplements for blood pressure?

Are you sure the cuff is the right size, for the size of you arm? That is often, the most popular problem.

Mike

just an update.... about a week and a half (i think about 3-4 weeks on it) my bp averaged about 124/83.... promising results since it had been in the 140's, even a couple readings in the 150's over 90's and upper 90's.

i went back to laying down to take it though, which may have had an affect, but sitting with my arms straight out makes my arm fall asleep and hurt REALLY bad, which may also account for higher readings.

anyway, i havent taken it since because exams started this week and go through next week, and ive found that my BP is always much higher during exams... and like i said, i tend to obsess over health issues, and knowing its going to be high, i dont want to have yet another thing to stress over/obsess over (which usually makes it higher)

but ill give you guys another update in a couple weeks when exams are over.... by then i'll still be stressed (we dont get grades for about a month, and theres always no telling on how we did), but the supps will be in full effect by then, so i feel like it will be a pretty accurate assessment. from then on i'll continue my readings at once or twice a week

by the way... thats on a daily regimen of:

1. 1,500 mg olive leaf extract (only 6% oleuripean (sp?) though, i didnt know until after i started that you should shoot for 12%+)
2. 100mg ubiquinol
3. ~2 tbsp ACV
4. 2 squares of 86%-90% dark chocolate

(just ordered some turmeric and astaxanthin to try over summer and compare results... although they may be skewed bc im only taking 1 class over summer and will have the entire month of july and most of august off, so stress wont be much of an issue)

thanks MG, and southside - i was wondering the same thing a while back so i did a little research and like cooper said, there is some promising info out there, so i decided to buy some

only reason i havent started using it is because i dont like taking a bunch of different things at once because i like to see how well certain things work on their own (forgot to add garlic to my last post - ive been eating 2-3 cloves a day). i plan on using agamatine+taurine (which i also read good things about and bought at the same time) in the near future.

but as you can tell, the OLE+ubiquinol seems to have been working great, especially considering ive only been taking 100mg of ubiquinol (some take up to 400mg) and my OLE is only standardized to 6% where the 'good' brands can be upwards of 20%

by the way, that update i gave was actually just from a week ago today, and i had only been on OLE & ubiquinol for 2 weeks at that point (hawthorn berry, for example, took about a month to notice any changes on)

Bill,

What happened to the celery seed extract that you were using and seemed to give you the best results ?

"today... after ONLY being on celery seed at 75mg for 5 days i started feeling lightheaded at the gym and when i would stand up. i was actually worried it was from HIGH blood pressure, but after looking it up, i saw that low bp can cause dizziness upon standing.... so i came home from the gym, rested for a few minute, layed down for a few minutes and decided to take it.... welll... it was 112/72 first read and 115/67 second."
