Exactly. A lot of negativity in a lot of IT's tracks as well as conspiracy theories and politics. I can listen to him once in a blue moon but can never put a track of his on repeat.
 
Pac, the most enduring, multifaceted, walk the walk and talk the talk rapper IMO. Biggie is in there too but not to the same level "you claimed to be a player but i fked your wife, we bust on bad boys nigg@$ fked for life" Pwned! Jay-Z and Nas dont compare until they die and we find out if we still give a crap ten+ years later.

Tech N9ne hands down, was top of the indie charts and his rap well.. that's some of the most original sh*t out to date. check out "the waitress" off his new album "killer"

rappers who dont mumble and speak clearly always win out...
KRS-1 and Slick Rick. (my opinion is based strictly on lyrics and voice quality, not music)
musically I like RunDMC, Biggie, Jay Z, & Ice Cube.

remember this is the best rapper, not lyricist not one hit wonders etc. The best rapper has to be Tupac, hands down. He was so versatile he could go from feelings of sorrow and compassion to all out hate. He lives on and on and everyone knows who he is everyone respects his music. Thats why i think if you say one person you have to say Tupac Shakur R.I.P.
 
Tech N9ne is cool, but i wouldnt consider him the best rapper, he has a sick flow though; is actually from my hometown, kaaaaaansassss cityyyyyy! lol

nearly all rapper's are one hit wonders in their own right man.. it's the fans that dont think so. yeah, tupac and biggie and some of the exceptions though, tupac was a down right legend when it comes to the sh*t with the best tracks. but i found that he always used to yell into the mike, sounded abit scruffy sometimes. and "you claim to be a player, but i fu*ked your wife. bad boys bust for life" was a classic line, but when it comes down to actual lyrics N.O.T.O.R.I.O.U.S wins hands down, mainly because he didn't use simple rhyming words like: hot, pot, shot etc.. well they all do, but i think biggie tried not to "Mad cause I got my d*ck sucked and my balls licked, forfeit, the game is mine, I'ma spell my name one more time, check it, its the, N-O, T-O, R-I, O, U-S, you just, lay down, slow, recognize a real Don when you see Juan Sippin' on booze in the House of Blues" true?

i know man, i have high hopes but damn i love the guy. i mean come on, in it's own right he probably deserves to have hits. but he doesnt have any user friendly songs to be played mainstream.

did anyone on this board like riotmaker and absolute power that he wrote afew years back, thats some of the best rap and rock combined ever, pulled it off really well.

When i quoted that awhile back i was more referring to the implications of a man who lived the life made the hits and went down by his own acknowledged fate. He knew he would die and still threw up the middle finger. To be a good anything you can fake it but the reason pac was/is a legend was bc he lived it. Pac vs biggie.. pac screwed his wife ahhaha.

Lil wayne is b.s, sounds cool but is not a gangster but raps like one.
