Best Health and Longevity Supps...Cooper or Synapse

Not really supplements, but some cheap and healthy food recommendations would be:

Dark chocolate with over 70% cocoa. I use bakers chocolate for that 100% cocoa content.
1 cup of kale, broccoli, or cabbage
1 serving of almonds, walnuts, or pecans with a brazil nut thrown in
1 cup of some kind of berry like blackberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.
1 serving of Yogurt

Most of these foods have extracts in various supplements (epicatechin, I3C/DIM, anthocyanins, probiotics) but the foods also contain various nutrients that potentially make them superior to isolated compounds. Plus kefir tastes a lot better than a few gel caps of probiotics.

I have these daily as well. Usually mixed together though. My morning shake with breakfast has yogurt, berries, milk, chocolate and almonds blended in. I grind the almonds down into a very fine powder or paste first though (I make almond butter and almond powders so its no extra hassle). Kale in my evening shake

I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead years ago. Its over the top, loose with the facts, but did hit home the point of what I should be focusing on more. My diet had virtually no veggies so this was a good way to jumpstart it.

Know what you mean. No veggies here either couple years ago but I am better . Much better now :)

Yeah I make shakes out of the veggies, berries, and dash of juice like low sodium V8 just to get them down fast. Kale takes way too long to chew, so this prevents me from having to chew each bite for a few minutes. The taste of my shake is...not good, but I do it for the health benefits not the taste.

I enjoy the bitterness of the chocolate now so I just take that and some almonds to school as a snack, and I eat the yogurt with whatever is my highest fiber meal of the day.

edit: almond butter is delicious, I need to look up recipes for that

I add 1 tbsp of MCT Oil as well. Helps grind the kale up and keeps the foam down.

If you can find a Magic Bullet replica, it'll change your life. I used to blend up my fruit in a large blender but it left chunks and bits and pieces and make drinking shakes intolerable. I bought a $30 unit and the thing mulches everything into a liquid with no bits left behind.

Oh yeah, been there. I used a regular budget blender when I first tried to do shakes and it left the pulp so thick that I had to chew it anyways. I splurged on a nice size Ninja blender a bit ago and it pulverizes everything, shakes still have a grainy texture but its far easier to chug down the liter of shake I make. Increased my veggie intake quite a bit.

the Anavite has vit.d3 1000 iu per serving + Menaq7 (natural form of vitamin. K2)
counteracts any adverse effects of cholecalciferol excess
Is it specifically vitamin D3 that is most beneficial and is it safe to take those high dosages indefinitely? What about side affects, was reading about raising calcium levels too high and hardening of the arteries?

Same. I give credit to my wife who called out my "healthy" lifestyle filled with protein and starches. It was important to her that I start eating more fruits and vegetables. Now I love broccoli, green beans, carrots, etc.. She still hasn't convinced me to juice though. :)

I have multiple Nutribullets because shakes and smoothies for days

Costco has a great promo on them right now btw. $69 ea

Heh, heh

Thank you! Funny, I am using anavite right now and took a closer look at the dosage last night. I usually switch back and forth between anavite and orange triad. Just wasn't sure about the mega dosing. Don't think I will do it unless blood work said I was deficient. I get plenty of sun almost daily year round so not too worried.

I never have much need for a smoothie

My appetite is insatiable. I have no problem
Getting in 6-8 servings of whole veggies, often more than that. I need it to not be hungry all day.

Every day without fail:
Spinach
Bell peppers (red, organic)
Onion
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Carrots
Hot peppers

Many days:
Cucumber
Zucchini
Brussels sprouts

Fruits are whatever is fresh at the time. Like everything. I also stock up on frozen berries for winter months.

here is my daily health smoothie usual for breakfast

Green Tea organic 2 cups for water base
2 cups of spinach
2 cups of kale
1 large seaweed sheet for making nouri rolls
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
2 packets of stevia
1/4 tsp of himilayan salt
2 red thal chill peppers
2 inch piece of peeled and grated ginger
1-2 scoops of whey protein
1 cup of blueberries
3 tablespoons of Kefir

this way I get in my greens, good fats, trace minerals, probiotics, anti microbials and anti fungals, plus lots of anti oxidants

i need to get back on my health kick i used to make green smoothies every day not anymore

Thank you for giving me an idea to use up my 180 green tea bags! I got tired of drinking the stuff tbh. I'm thinking

1 cup kale(or spinach)
1 banana or blueberries
1 scoop cinnabun whey
2 table spoons stevia
1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon (dash or so)
1 brewed cup of green tea

Maybe these too
Ginger, honey, pumpkin, apple slices, grapes, and more combos.

I have a magic bullet so...smoothie crew checking in.

Never liked kale til one day my wife steamed it and topped with sauerkraut, now im hooked. Funny how that works.

Juicing is the way to go man. I have an apple, a bushel of Kale, 5 strawberries, a handful of carrots, and spinach with egg whites, coconut oil and some Greek yogurt for breakfast every morning.

No joke, I feel awesome in the AM. Throw a little caffeine in and you're g2g

Stealing these recipes! Keep them coming as I'm "vegetable challenged" and need help! Lol

Things I've tried:

Curcumin - Meriva has great human data on joint and liver support. My subjective joint pain and liver values never improved even with chronic megadosing.
Vitamin E as mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols - I liked this for skin and hair, but it's very, very expensive
Astaxanthin - no vision improvement, no change in cholesterol levels
PQQ - totally worthless

Metformin (haven't tried) probably is beneficial for longevity based on all the available data. But at the end of the day, it's a drug. It has side effects, particularly severe diarrhea in many patients. And it is probably slightly inhibitory on muscle gain

I was a big vitamin E advocate at one point and yes, it's very expensive

I3C is another I'm still big on

I have switched to KSM-66 exclusively as it is proving to be much stronger than anything else. I take 300mg in the morning and again mid afternoon.

What brands sell KSM-66? I just picked up Himalaya's Ashwagandha and Bacopa a few days ago. One cap each in the AM and I can really tell the difference; could I take another cap of each in the evening?

Ergopure by Myodyne has 900mg KSM-66 @ three pills a day in it plus some other good ingredients. Not sure if that's a good dose?

I use Swanson KSM-66. I do one cap in the am then another late afternoon or evening.

I have never try blending my vegetables or fruits, any of you can help me with a idea of a mix for the morning?
I haven't been doing it enough lately, but the frozen fruit chunks and stuff are really good thrown in a powerful blender. It also tastes pretty good with a scoop of vanilla whey.

In my blender I can also just blend the frozen fruit with maybe a tiny bit of water and it makes something that I can eat with a spoon. It's actually pretty good.

I was thinking of doing something with kale for my cholesterol
That works too. When I'm not too lazy, I throw a handful of kale, some banana, and some carrots with some water, with or without some vanilla whey. I wouldn't say it's delicious, but it's very tollerable. I'd rather drink my fruits and vegetables than eat them.

What do you put in your juice

Green Tea
Ubiquinol
MCT Oil

I've found juicing (not that kind..lol) twice a day has drastically increased my energy levels, mood, skin, etc...

durring the end of it, I had lowered immunity, lethargy sleep issues, anxiety Attacks, erectyle dysfunction. It all hit at once. Today, years later, I have a lower libido/erection quality than I think a 24 year old should have, but I have nothing to base that off of. Probably half psychological.

I have never had blood work done, which is extremely irresponsible on my part, but I plan to start seeing an endo in the fall.

Fertility is def a concern. so is the possibility for a prolactin secreting tumor. I would like to think I'll be a candiate for early TRT. That is my biggest dream and nightmare. I hope to have kids one day.

Did the same thing you did. Have a pituitary tumor. Test, lh, and FSH never recovered with a a 12 week pct and over a year off. Ended up on trt at 20. Cycled 16-18.

Everyone has their own needs, but I can tell you what I take for health:

Vitamin D - seen thousands of outpatient records, seen maybe 3 people with fully replete labs. The struggle is real
Ashwaghanda - neural health/calm -> I tend to be stressed and high strung from work
NAC - recent data showing immune benefits in reducing influenza infections. Data as performance enhancer. Data as testosterone optimizer
I3C - a key reason why cruciferous veggies are so protective against cancer
Magnesium - mellows me out, sleep, also common deficiency

How much ashwaghanda and brand?

How much NAC?

Thanks.

Thanks for your answer

just whack in different fruits and veges to try make a good combination. Play around with masking bad flavors with tart fruits

Anyone tried blending the seed of an avocado? Id imagine you would need a really powerful blender for it. I did read some folk blend it up to a fine powder then sprinkle it on their food.

Considering I broke 3 augers by Kale alone, I'm not trying it. Lol

I see a broken blender in your future lol

I feel great as far as energy goes. I look great as far as body competition goes. With the sustain alpha libido, erection quality, spontaneous and morning wood is all solid. Has been at other times too. There's def some underlying issues though. Tumor is my feer, and I'm going to start working towards it come fall.

How is TRT for you?

go with Blendtec it will take a whole avocado pit and peel and turn it into guacamole

its 3 horsepower it actually turns an iPhone to dust no lie

watch the video on youtube

Just get an MRI done.

It was the best choice I could have made at that time. I don't regret it. Feel great.

To not derail this thread, here is a list of my current health/longevity staples. These are ever changing as I try to adjust for what I need/like and discard what I don't need/dislike. Plus I have a fixed supp budget.

AHCC - 1000mg
Curcumin(Meriva) - 1000mg
Bee Propolis - 1100mg
Ashwagandha - 1350mg
Agmatine - 750mg
Vit D - 3,000iu

I will probably try to stay on Sustain Alpha as long as I can, as I feel amazing on it. Best I have in the last year.

I keep some Kava Kava pills close up in case of any anxiety attacks.

Coconut oil and soy lecethin are staple foods.

Pine Pollen extract and Royal Jelly are on my list to try.

I also want to get into nootropics but don't know where to start.

Thanks for the sustain alpha review!

I'm going to be trying the pine pollen and royal jelly as well... they are both on my to-do list. Don't if they will do anything while I'm "on" though.
