Best EFA to buy?

Depends. Fish oil is good in small amounts for epa/dha but should not be used as a macro, stick with 1-4 grams of epa/dha. If your oil is 50% epa/dha: 2-8 grams oil.

Flax is good for a macro but many prefer a more balanced oil like UDO's or hemp.

In short, use fish oil for epa/dha and a suitable balanced oil for macro needs.

I like Fish oil from Optimum nutrition. plain fish oil with 180mg EPA and 120mg DHA per gelcap, and very cheap.

I feel that it's a pretty balanced product - basically offers in one bottle all that you would need in terms of EFA. I guess it could do without the extra Vitamin A but otherwise a solid product with a tad bit of overkill. Personally, I am not a fan of taking 6 caps 2x a day so I find myself taking 1-2 servings throughout the day, sometimes 1.5 (9 caps). I'll definitely keep using it.

Life Extension Super EPA/DHA with Sesame Lingans & Olive Fruit Extract, yielding 700mg EPA/500mg DHA/265mg Olive extract.

you could buy some expellar pressed or cold pressed sunflower oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, safflower oil, peanut oil, flaxseed oil, sesame oil, canola oil... the list can go on and on but I'm sure you get the drift. BPmartyr's suggestion for Udo's choice is a good one, It is a very healthy blend of efas that is quite popular.

here is a cool website where you can find all kinds of healthy oils

hopefully this helps

I take 8-12 Grams of fish oil each day and usually throw a tablespoon of flax seeds into my oatmeal 2x day. When I choose to use oil when cooking, I like to use a mixture of olive and safflour oil.

Probably the best buy I have found is Omega 3 HMJ at Wal-Mart. It gives you 500 mg EPA/DHA in a 800 mg capsule. More of the god things in a smaller easier to swallow size. The price is right also at $5.69 for 30.

I rely on a balance of good fat from my diet and supplement with:

Omega 3 caps (8-12g/day)
Lecithin Caps (35% PC - 6/day)
SesaLean Oil (3-4 tbsp/day)

I think athletes with less experience dieting and supplementation really overlook how critical fat intake is to a pleasing physique, performance and overall health.
