Best cardio routine for fat loss

Glycolysis in my book of physiology is stated as the breakdown of glucose or glycogen into ATP or lactic acid
You need to re-read your textbook. You seem to be missing a few concepts in this thread.

Metabolically - HIIT = resistance training
HIIT will only use protein as the dominant substrate once glycogen is delpeted. A single bout of HIIT training will not deplete glycogen stores so its not a worry. You will be using fast glycolysis and primarily glycogen as your fuel source.

Yes but go look at rugby players ,, and just think of this , muscle can be broken down into glycogen for fuel ,,

Not quite. When it comes to energt needs protein is deanimated and enters at acetyl CoA, pyruvate or diretly into kreb cycle to satisfy ATP needs. It could undergo gluconeogenisis to create glucose but this is unlikely to occur during HIIT. Only if glycogen is already depleted and glucose isn't available. If glycogen stores are gone then it will turn to glucose to G6P to pyruvate to LA

Take up some type of martial art. You'd be amazed at how cardio intensive kickboxing or wrestling is. If you don't want to commit to a gym just get a heavy bag for your garage and watch some instructional videos online to get started.

Or you could start throwing in burpees or wrestling sprawl drills at the end of your workout. They feel easy at first but become brutal quickly. Gradually work your way up and pretty soon you'll be able to do several hundred easy.

Anything that you will do for at least 30 minutes. First 10-15 burn sugar, time after that burns fat. They say the stair master is the king, I hate doing it. Like putting the treadmill at an incline.

This is not accurate. Substrate usage is dependent upon the intensity.

Based upon the availability of oxygen which is based upon of the intensity of the movement.

;)

My physio of ex professor is a stickler on how we word responses

Intensity is relation to oxygen inhalation and carbon dioxide expiration. Not as pithy, but you get the drift.

Yea I know. I was just giving you shlt. Like I said, last semester in ex phys my professor would really ride us on how we word something.

Cycling, not spin, has always worked amazing for me. There's lots of apps that can track your rides, track your PR's, even race against others online. New routes and hills to try... Keeps you motivated. I've gotten in the best shape of my life cycling. It goes beyond being just a good way to lose weight. Just try not to look too cool in those tights.

(Most people think it's expensive, and there is a bit of sticker shock up front, but once you buy in it's the cheapest sport ever to maintain.)

I recently just got a treadmill so i can just wake up and do fasted cardio sessions. I probably wont do much this winter cause i'm bulking but during a cut my opinion is to chug some aminos and then hit the tread first thing in the morning.

Eat clean, drink a lot of water, no soda or juice, cut out fried foods and add high intensity cardio and you'll see results quick.
