I'm 30 years old, male, and have been lifting for a little over a year (basic full-body heavy compounds 3x a week). I began lifting because I felt my libido was lacking and was hoping to improve my general health to see what happened. I didn't think much of my lackluster gains since my diet wasn't completely dialed in, but my libido wasn't improving, so I saw a few endocrinologists and finally a urologist and blood work confirmed my testosterone production was essentially nil. I'm now working with the urologist to administer T-cyp injections until we find out what my weekly dosage should be.
I live in the US and so any acquisition of steroids outside of my doctor is illegal. Now, that's not necessarily something I'm against, but I definitely do not want to go buying something from an untrusted source and injecting who knows what into my body so regularly.
Given that I am not willing to go the illegal route, should I even consider a "cycle"? I put that in quotes because I have done very little research. If you guys tell me that I should consider it, research will begin. I guess it comes down to whether it makes any sense to stockpile what my prescription provides and use it in cycles instead of the prescribed dosage. Would that help at all? Would it cause lots of unwanted side effects? Would I get just as much benefit from not cycling and just consistently following the prescription and working out and eating right?
Thanks!
