see all those little letters "PR" beside each one. that means each session IS the strongest i've ever had ;) still a long ways from your level, but i may gain a little ground while you're fvcking around with hypertrophy training :D

PH has a gift. and i really don't think it should be wasted on hypertrophy training. squatting 725 x 2 with nothing but a belt on at 240lbs, 23 y/o ain't exactly commonplace.
 
Or his ability not to count a 20th rep..... anyone that can do 500+ in deads and squats for twenty reps, isn't really in a lack of hypertrophy... plus beeze he's at like 250 something now :)
 
Couldn't imagine where he would be at if he actually trained :) This is **** he does just so he can wear headbands and make videos about it.

i think they took em down in hopes that we would reduce size and put them back up. i dunno. i didn't hear anything, they just disappeared.

We tried that. He also tried drinking it from my magic carafe (what we like to call it) .... But after thinking about it a while, I can say that Beez probably has way more test in his penis than I. I just don't take his because that would be gay... him taking mine only makes him gay. That's perfect logic right there.

8/29 - quads/hams/forearms/bi's/calves
first off, if you've never tried the power squat contraption, i encourage you to try it. takes a bit to get used to, but once you get up to a high enough weight, it stops being all sh!ts and giggles. it feels like a combo of good mornings and squats done at the same time. you have to stick your ass WAY out to reach parallel otherwise your knees will go past your toes to a large degree. my belief, based on today, is that this machine will definately strengthen my core thereby resulting in a bigger squat.

ohhhhh i use that thing sometimes .. you can really push a ton of weight ... and you definitely feel it afterwards
 
yeah, it's a cool contraption but i'm not sure how long i'll be able to use it. only holds about 3 more plates per side. here's a closer pic of what it is.

How much weight for how many reps are you doing on the backwards squat device? Also, what are you calling them? They look pretty nesty man, let us know how much benefit vs any stress you may or may not feel from them.

It is nice having you as the guinea pig. :)
 
um, i'm facing the pad so it's not really backwards. the machine itself has the label on it 'power squat' so that's what i call it. i can tell already that they're going to be of great benefit to regular squats. just the movement itself is proof enough. good morning/squat in the same movement? damn near a total bodyworkout. quads/hams/glutes/lower back were fried after 900 x 15. i'll probably keep them in the higher rep range for some variation. the rest of my quad exercises don't exceed 8 reps. seems like a lot of times i have more strength on squat but i lack the endurance, this may help with that as well.
