Bean's 1st contest prep (Lecheek last 8 weeks)

Good game!

Alright brief update for legs today then I'm out gonna be a long ****ing night.

Went in realizing I forgot my log book, then when I pulled in I saw that everybody and the owner decided to workout at the same time. So I decided I would do as close to a MD workout as I can but wouldn't wait on equipt is just find something else to do. Remember I wo at Anytime fitness and this one is tiny compared to others I've seen.

Warmup 10 mins 125 cals

Leg curl Mach was taken so I went straight to SLDL
2 warmups
3x12/12/10

Leg press 3 sec neg. this turned into an all out assault as everything else was being used so instead of 3 sets I did the following

2 warmups
3x12/12/10 worked up to 700 on these :stoked:
I had a huge rush of adrenaline/focus and push come over me so from 700 I did another set of constant tension (no lockout) for 9 then dropped a plate ea side until I got down to 2 plates a side. Don't remember how many of ea I did but it was killer (for me). Had a hard time getting outta the seat lol.

From here the smith Mach opened up so I did my version of a hack with the 1.5 rep technique.
Feet way forward just inside hip width

These were humbling to say the least I did

With what I think is the equivalent to 185
At this point I felt nauseous. Huge pump the. Stretched 1 min ea quad 2x

Followed by dB sldl superset with seated calves

Calf raises I just did em till I couldn't do them. I think I got 3 sets in but was going to do more then I got the text to come home.

Not much rest between really as I was trying jump on whatever was open I think it only took like 40 mins total but I was literally sweating through my pant and hoodie.

Sorry for the ****ty update this will not be the norm by any means.

Gotta give the boy his ear drops every three hours so gonna be a long one. How much sleep I get will determine tomorrows workout.

Damn bro did you have to be carted out after that leg blitz!!! Killer bro and yeah sucks when there's a crowd. My gym is flat dead from friday night til monday mornings.
 
Dude my gym has been PACKED in the mornings with all the New Years resolutioners. Can't wait for February to be over.

Will do! Gonna put Prodigy to the test tomorrow for chest and shoulders!! Slinshot will be great to have for tomorrow actually as I am being dragged to some corporate BS training thing all effing day, boss already that they are feeding us lunch and to not bring "my stinky leftovers" great support huh? Any ways ill be eating a big breakfast whatever they are serving us for lunch and then ill resume my meal plan after work.

Prodigy first impression....
At one scoop not very impressed honestly. I have more sample coming so ill try at two scoops, taste pretty brutal honestly especially aftertaste. Energy came on a bit but the focus wasn't anywhere near micro for me anyway. Just trying to be honest. I'm going to use all my samples once I get them and try to find the right dose.

I ran out of Anabeta on Sunday. So pretty much staples and HCG till 8 weeks out.

1 scoop of any pwo never really hits the spot for me. I'm usually a 2 scoop or more kind of person.
 
Good point. Then I'm going to claim it's a mental thing with me lol. I don't use pre's often but when I do it's usually 2-3 scoops.

Yeah but you're really close to a contest, like a month out, your body is so shot a pre workout doesn't even help. I remember being about a month out and drinking multiple scoops of the new no xplode and literally feeling nothing. I sat at the gym and wanted to cry between sets I felt so ****ty

Sorry to hear about your neck bud. Hopefully it clears up soon and the chiropractor isn't needed. Good workout regardless.

been seeing a chiro for past 6 yrs twice weekly. 1 yr old for 1 yr and wife for 6.
 
I talked to Kleen about it because I have issues with my right shoulder and he said only great things about ART. I did some research on it and it sound like the real deal. People that have gotten it say only good things.
 
What all does that entail ace never heard of it. I only go to the Chiro if I have to, should go more, I'm getting regular massages as my sister in law is a message therapist.

it's hard to explain but basically you'll get tendons or muscles that aren't moving like it's supposed to or not firing. the doctor will perform art, it hurts like a bitch, and now the effected area has correct movement.
Basically for the back of my shoulder he'll dig his finger into my back and hold a specific muscle in place and I'll pull my arm across my chest, the surrounding muscles will move and the relief is amazing.
Another time my bicep tendon had slipped into the wrong groove in my shoulder, he popped it over into the right groove.. That hurt REAL bad

Hell yizzle! Pinched a nerve or something in my lumbar vertebral region tonight doing squats. It's a recurring issue so I can deal. But it always sucks when it happens

Woke up feeling like garbage, neck is touch better but my chest is pretty tight have tight cough as well hurts. Hopefully my body will fight this off as my son had way worse symptoms. Loading vit c and upped glutamine. Decided to rest and lay off cardio in hopes it will pass and I can hit up arms tomorrow and chest sat. Gonna take it easy on the cardio until my chest clears a bit, last time I ignored it my chest cold got insanely worse.

Good pump I basically at the most took only 30 secs of rest between super sets mostly just went back and forth until I felt like coughing. Focus was ok tried a sample of power max I think is what it's called. Focus came on more towards the end. Could be related to how ****ty I feel though.

Finished with 20 mins of stairs kept HR at 120

Tomorrow is chest and then I learn how to pose lol should be fun!
