BCAA & EAA Dosing

How much BCAA &/or EAA do you dose a day?

Do you differ in workout and non-workout days?

I've been taking BCAA & EAA with my Beta-Alanine, but I'm not sure how much would be optimum really. I just bought the bulk stuff and I mix in some crystal light so it won't be so gross.

Those seem like high numbers but if you can afford them then go for it. I only use BCAA/EAA products during my training, be it MMA or weightlifting probably averaging 10-15grams. I really only focus on leucine(minimum 6g) though as I'm not concerned with depletion of other aminos. My protein intake is sufficient enough not to worry about it. But doses will vary depending on various factors such as diet, weight, and training routines.

Not sure I quite understand what you mean by maintain. If you mean to stave of catabolism during a workout then yes. I take sufficient amounts of protein both pre and post workout so don't require a vast amount of bcaas.

I asked if you used it to maintain, because you are an MMA fighter and I thought that you wouldn't be trying to gain any more weight or lose any more weight. Most of the MMA fighters I know, or even single martial art competitors tend to stay within a weight range all the time.

I think there is no set number at this point. Not enough studys done on a specific number. I think as long as you get enough threw out the day your good.

Yeah,
I'm under the impression that if your shakes contain both EAA and BCAA's and you're drinking at least one shake a day, that supplementing BCAA's is a bit superfluous, between shakes
and whatever you eat, you ought to be fine.
