ACtually does not look that bad only thing I can see is bring up the thyroid alittle more to mid to upper range and that should help to bring cholesterol down a little bit. The shbg looks to in range but the correcting the hypothroidism could bring that down alittle bit more and adjusting thyroid may lower estrodial a tad bit due to increasing estrogen metaboilsm. You may look into some extra magnesium, ZMA before bed time and if you can get some sun to bring that vitamin D level up. To correct the vitamin D problem and cholesterol at same time 1 tsp codliver oil x 2 times a day. it is winter time and metabolism does tend to drop due to lack of sunlight exposure so that may be indicated by your elevated tsh. just to be safe may want to test cortisol levels via salvia just make sure.

So, you're saying that the ZMA and/or extra magnesium would help to bring up the Free T-4, not the TSH correct? And, cod liver oil will help to reduce total cholesterol as well as LDL?

reason for ZMA
Entrez PubMed

Saying lack of sunlight will alter thyroid problems and yes magnesium is neccessary for t-4 synthesis. One problem may be execssive calcium in diet preventing absorption in intestinal tract. Normal calcium/magnesium ratio 5:1 instead of 2:1 like average americans

You have a very low PSA, you may have a low DHT, that may be a reason for ED if you have it.
Additionally, I had the following done through Quest recently:

Protein 7.0
Albumin 4.73 (H)
Alpha 1 globulins 0.2
Alpha 2 globulins 0.6
Beta globulins 0.9

Testosterone 521
Albumin 4.8
SHBG 33
Test, Free 115
Test, Free & wkly bound 250
This is the correct test to use at Quest Diagnostics)
Parathyroid hormone, intact 9 (L)
Calcium 10
Phosphate 3.0
Estradiol, Ultra-sensitive 24 Dr. John indicated that there is right level for any given FreeT, but my memory may be faulty or it was not explained to the end
Vitamin D 37

Chorionic Gonadtropin <2

LH 7.3
Prolactin 6.9
Free T-4 1.1 (borderline low) get another test FreeT4, FreeT3, TSH, you are low on FreeT4 and probably low on FreeT3, have to bring FreeT3 upto top 1/3 range.
TSH 3.26 (up from 2.6 six mos. prior)

Cortisol, AM 19.4

DHEA 321, your DHEA is ok but you still can raise it up to about 500, re. your low FreeT.

Suggestions, comments, etc. welcome!!

Thanks for your time.
I am not a doctor, so take it with grain (make it half teaspoon daily) of salt
Using
http://www.get-back-on-track.com/en/tools/umrechner.php
Free & Bioavailable Testosterone calculator
Testosterone 521ng/dL
Albumin 4.8
SHBG 33
Test, Free 115
Test, Free & wkly bound 250
/-----------------------------/
I get results
FreeT=10.4ng/dL=104pg/mL
BAT=271ng/dL
FreeT+BAT=271+10.4=281.4 higher than posted by QuestDiagnostic
probably because they use the 2006 method described here
--------http://www.atypon-link.com/WDG/doi/pdf/10.1515/JLM.2006.050
but I do not know (yet) how to use it. Somebody help!!!
Dr Shippen, according to his patient Farmerjohn, want to see FreeT=160pg/mL=16ng/dL
MESO-Rx - View Single Post - noob question - Why just hCG when test will do?
To raise your FreeT=160pg/mL, I use linear projection and find, you need to get your TotalT=754
As a first approach you do not want HCG or Androgel
1. try to raise DHEA to 500
2. Lower E2 to less than 20 possibly to 15 use DIM and I3C, I use two pills of:
--------http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00855.html
3. Lower your SHBG, Avena Sativa Extract/Green oat, Urtica dioica aka Stinging nettle
I use Advanced Natural Prostate Formula with 5-Loxin® Item Catalog Number: 975 , take 1.5 or 2x of the recommended dose
---------http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00975.html
and Super MiraForte with Maximum Strength Chrysin Item Catalog Number: 615, take 1.5 to 2x recommended dose
----------http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00615.html
4. Take all 10 recommended items as described here, I do
-----------http://www.lef.org/newshop/top_products/
5. You thyroid looks low, get your FreeT3 to top 1/3 of range, ie about 3.8, use Armour Thyroid, look around, be carefull, learn how to take Armour Thyroid
6. When all of the above (supplements plus exercise and diet) do not raise your freeT satisfactorily you are into TRT territory
first try using only HCG, latter add Androgel, you are really close case, may not need it at all
Recheck your blood two months after the date when you complied with all of the above.
Post it here again plus complaints that you have about you health.
-------------------------
When adding HCG and Androgel

first optimize your HCG, as per 1cc here:
MESO-Rx - View Single Post - On HCG 25yrs old, Concerned!
any excessive HCG results in additional unnecessary E2
daily 100IU is probably it.

then continue with Androgel until your FreeT=160
following what farmerjohn learned from Dr Shippen
MESO-Rx - View Single Post - noob question - Why just hCG when test will do?

Phil,

I got some Celtic Sea Salt, but not the rock. This is crushed into a somewhat fine powder. Is this what you mean by "make sure it's not processed"?

Thx,
brian
