Barely Healthy Donuts

NutraPlanet Fanatic
OK...Who am I kidding?

But, if you have to indulge, these are pretty damn good:

Ingredients:

Enova Oil
Canola Oil
2 rolls of Pillsbury (or generic) buttermilk biscuits.
10 packets of Splenda
Cinnamon, to taste

OR

Sugar Free maple syrup.

Directions:

I just used 50/50 Enova and Canola oil, about 2 cups (around 1 inch deep in the pan you use.

Bring oil to boil. Open biscuits and push a hole through them while dropping them into the oil. They take around 10-15 seconds each side, then pull them out and put them onto a plate with a paper towel. Combine Splenda and Cinnamon sugar dry or with Sugar Free Syrup (to simulate maple glaze), then sprinkle over the still hot donuts.

Enjoy. About 3 of them satisfies even the most intense desire to cheat.

Again, not SUPER healthy, but better than regular donuts.

Hmm...interesting by-product. I just strained the used oil, and used it to make a few bars of personal soap.

Talk about recycling.

Is there like an RPN fight club I don't know about? Or is it against the first, second, and third rule to talk about it?
