Bang for buck on Casein??

hmmm....maybe i'll just drink pes select post workout and not eat the rest of the day, sounds lovely bahahaha that casein brah
Well, that's not what we're saying. Alan Aragon was part of some recent work (meta analysis) on protein timing and hypertrophy.

i'm not saying everyone fits into this, but i took this from the write up: So if you are a highly trained lifter where it is essential to achieve absolute maximal hypertrophy, it makes sense to consume protein as quickly as possible post-workout; doing so certainly won’t hurt and possibly might help, albeit to a small extent.

i'm not defending the anabolic window....but realistically, who has a hard workout and isn't starving afterwards haha, i know when i leave the gym, i want to eat

i also read the blend studies and they leave a lot to be desired, i've questioned them in multiple threads....and this is the reason why i recommend isotean or 100% whey over blends, things can change but what i've read haven't shown me enough

the anabolic window is real brahs

Says who? And why? Does protein timing matter?

Depends on your nutrition pre and intra workout. If pre and intra workout nutrition is good, you don't actually need anything immediately post (so a 2 hour window more or less). It's not always necessarily about "OMG! IF I DON'T GET THIS IN ME I'M GOING TO GO CATABOLIC!" but it is important to help provide a better balance between protein breakdown to synthesis.
