Bad tolerance to agmatine (i.e. l-arginine)?

BlaBlaBla

I bought a supplement that sadly contained this. I thought I had tried l-arginine in high dosages so this couldn't possibly be a problem but clearly I was thinking in ignorance.
If I take 2 grams of agmatine then it literally feels like I have inhaled helium. I've heard of others on this forum ingesting much larger quantities when reviewing products without a single complaint which makes me a bit suspicious but maybe I am just not well-adjusted to the increased nitric oxide.

Is there anyway to perhaps decrease the absorption, such as maybe ingesting it with a protein powder or something? I really don't want to waste those money, but I too do not want to fall to the ground and pass out from poor blood supply.

Yes, it could be something else than blood dilation that causes my problems but I don't think so. I don't think it's neurotransmitter or blood sugar related.

Whats the name of the supplement...?

What does inhaling helium feel like..? I thought helium just effected your vocal cords when inhaled...?

Too much agmatine could possibly lower your blood pressure and cause you to feel the effects
of low blood pressure. Agamatine and Arganine are both vasodilators, which allow good to flow
more freely and thereby drop BP.

I thought I wasn't allowed to post about products, but this product has already been mentioned several times on this forum in reviews so (I made an account here to view those reviews) - it's called Forerunner Labs AlphaHard. I bought it because of its other active chemicals and I like the effects they give me, just don't like the agmatine. Sadly it seems all products with those active ingredients also contain other ingredients that makes it difficult to dose in high amounts the product.

I checked my blood pressure before and 30min. after and it's completely normal, and I've checked through several days.
Perhaps there's an entirely different blood pressure in my brain or neck area that I can't measure reliable with the equipment I have.
If the effects are unharmful then I would happily megadose it in spite the discomfort, I just don't want to risk it and I may have a connective tissue disorder so my main blood artery may be weak (and perhaps prone to tearing during expansion?).

20-01-2016 after AlphaHard
SYSTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE: 128
DIASTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE: 71
PULSE: 75

19-01-2016 after AlphaHard
SYSTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE: 145
DIASTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE: 83
PULSE: 78

I am over 2 meters in height so my blood pressure is bound to be slightly elevated.

The reason its raising your BP instead of lowering it, is because it contains

a combination of 2 Prohormones - EpiAndro & Androsterone (Stano).

This is not an agmatine supplement, even though it does contain some agmatine.

Most likely the agmainte is in there for a couple reasons, once to help with nitric oxide
production, and 2 possibly because of its nutrient partitioning effects, and maybe
possibly being able to help absorb the other 2 pro hormones more effectively.

Alphahard is a Prohormone supplement with some agmatine. Not an Agmatine supplement at all.

Heres a great Agmatine product

Those two prohormones are extremely mild in the dosages I am taking them, it's definitely not an increase in bp I feel as I know how that feels from taking bp-increasing supplements such as estrogen itself, SERMs, and much more.
High bp gives a fatigued feeling together with dizziness and sometimes cognitive problems as well, but the fatigue comes before the dizziness in me.

Jus wondering, How do you know what the dosages are...?

They're not listed. They are part of a proprietary blend...

Agmatine has some nootropic effects and taking it with arginine will interfere with those effects. Perhaps there is something going on there. If you take some arginine with it, maybe that will help?

I contacted them to find out what the proprietary blend was but never got a reply back.
As for the agmatine content: we can assume that it's no more than 1500mg per pill. The usual lower dosage for agmatine is around 1200mg. We can also safely assume that the epiandro per pill is probably not over 100mg, and same goes for the andro.
Since it notes to take it 6 times a day, 3 in the am and 3 in the pm, and the dosage range for epiandro is said to be 150-300mg, we can assume that 50mg of epiandro is in each capsule. And we can apply the same math to androsterone.

Arginine in the title is just to avoid agmatine being taken for some "illegal substance" since those are not allowed to be discussed, and it makes it easier for the reader to know what the thread is about and perhaps help me since arginine and agmatine are probably very alike.
I've never mixed agmatine with any blood thinners, blood coagulators or anything similar in fear of a dangerous contraindication.

i assume you read this incorrectly- it says to take twice a day split 3 each- As a dietary supplement, take 3 Bio-Tabs in the AM (1 per hour) and 3 Bio-Tabs in the PM. Take with meals.

also, never assume anything- the old saying, Ill make an azz out U before ME-

but then again, your choice

Whole lotta assuming going on around here. Also, what are you referring to about "agmatine being taken for some "illegal substance"?

this one is becoming filled with assumptions, one thing for certain, Im out

Doesn't that make 6 pills per day? It says the serving size is 6 capsules (pills).
